Meet-up in Portland Maine or Boston MA?

Inspired by the recent YLF meet-up in Portland Oregon, let's see how much interest there would be for one in Portland Maine And if you are interested, what timeframe would work for you? For me it would need to be 2017, the rest of 2016 is already too busy with holidays etc.

Yes, I would be interested in Portland, ME.

However, I would be just as happy doing Boston again. But I think the best time would be after the holidays. Last year we (actually not we, but Diana, who kindly did the leg work) had kind of a hard time finding a day and location. If we did Boston, the week after New Year's usually has a lot of great sales to be picked through on Newbury St & at Copley.

Oh, I would LOVE Portland, ME. I have never been there but would doubly love to go with gabbers there ! Mochi and I can carpool. I am telling her that now ! LOL.

Hmm...seems Boston might be a better choice...quite a few YLFers live fairly close to it. Portland is perhaps a bit too far out of the way for most fabbers. I changed the title of this posting, let's see what other responses we get.

Portland is tough for me as a day trip from Cambridge, as I don't drive and wouldn't want to drag my husband out there for the whole time. But Boston obviously I could do, assuming I am in town.

Lisa is right, last year finding a day/location around the holidays was a bit difficult as it gets crazy in December here. So I also think January is a better idea. =)

Portland would also be tough as a day trip, though the Downeaster would make it possible. I'm up for a January New England meet up though

Though I do understand (not just selfishly) that it would be easier for many of us to have the meetup in Boston.

I would also prefer Boston but would do Maine, no problem.

Diana, you would be more than welcome to ride with me. I would gladly take you and Mochi...and Crazy One. So please keep that in mind when considering Portland.

Ok, looks like preference is for Boston early in 2017. I'll start up another thread so we can figure out dates, locations, etc.
