Warning - long post ahead! I seem to have lots to say today.
Monday: skinny jeans, white cowl-neck tshirt, grey sweater, blue sneakers, and my newly altered black biker jacket.
I've feedback from the forum that my more casual shoes don't look great with many of my outfits, so I tried to put together an outfit where the sneakers would work. Sorry about the reflective piping on the sneakers that looks bad with the flash. I was so excited to wear the jacket for the first time! I put in a couple photos of the sleeves for Cathie (cciele), who was asking about shortening zippered sleeves. The tailor shortened cut the zipper and re-finished the sleeves - I think it came out very well.
Tuesday: microcheck pants, blue tunic top, jean jacket, long pearls, Me Too flats.
I did have one problem with this outfit - wearing the pearls with two loops, with one strand knotted, did not work well when I was teaching! The knotted strand gradually slid lower and lower and I felt like I was being strangled by the tighter, un-knotted strand. I switched to just one loop on the pearls and felt much better.
Wednesday: jeans, red camisole, red polka dotted top, black long cardigan, Keen shoes.
This wasn't the most inspired day but it was comfortable.
Thursday: jeans, printed top, brown corduroy Halogen blazer (from the Nordstrom sale), brown shoes.
Kari just posted about getting the yellow version of this blazer - this was my first time wearing mine. I really liked it with the printed top, and I LOVE the way the flare on the back of this jacket makes me look like I have a butt!
Friday: Classiques Entier sheath dress, stirrup leggings, long cardigan, Oxfords.
This outfit was inspired by Kristen, who had just posted about this dress from Nordstrom. It reminded me that I hadn't yet worn my identical dress! My partner was in town and we had a date night planned, so it seemed like a good excuse. I asked him help me choose how to wear the dress, and he chose the Anthropologie Oxfords! I thought they were fun with the stirrup leggings. I'm not sure how well the cardigan works - I think Kristen's cardigan was more fitted and shorter, and that looked a lot better than my baggy cardigan. Maybe I should try it with a belt.
