I stopped into Marshall's today and picked up a few things. I was in a bit of a rush and now I'm not sure if any of them are keepers.

Also featuring my new haircut!

1) Red belted fleece jacket -- I've lived in Seattle long enough to love fleece, but it usually comes in shapeless pullovers. However, I'm not sure this is a good shape for me either.

2) purple/cream/black crinkly blouse -- not sure if it is a skirt length or pants length top; wearing it over a black cami:

3) Purple tote -- really like the color (I'm trying to diversify my handbags) but this feels stiff and long.

4) Cream Calvin Klein dress (rayon blend):

With green velvet JCrew jacket (not great) -- is there another jacket or cardigan shape that would work with this dress?

I'm wondering if I could wear it over a turtleneck/polo neck top with boots for fall.

Comments or just keep/go appreciated!

Your hair style is very becoming. Here's my 2 cents:

1) Red belted fleece jacket -- The color is wonderful on you and it shows your waist, but to me it looks like you are wearing a very cropped bathrobe. maybe others will have a different opinion.

2) purple/cream/black crinkly blouse -- I really like this on you! It's feminine without being too much. I like it best with the pants, but a narrow belt might make it skirt perfect.

3) Purple tote -- It may be a bit too long, but I'd be tempted to keep it for the great color if it wasn't too expensive. The length doesn't bother me on you. I think it makes you look smaller. However, if you think you'll be knocking into things with it, maybe it's best to keep looking for a more perfect bag.

4-5) Cream Calvin Klein dress -- I don't care for this on you. It's just OK. It looks like the pleats below the waist are pulling open (although this may be the way the dress is made) and I like you better in a V-neck. The jacket may look better with the dress if it is buttoned at the waist. Have you tried a wrap dress? I think that style would better show off your great figure.

Hey aj, Love your new do!

Ok, not hugely in love with the red jacket. It looks soft and comfy, but not all that flattering.

Love the blouse. I'd have to see it with pants to tell if it's skirt or pant length. You have such long legs it's difficult for me to tell--but I love that skirt!

I love the purple tote. I think it's a good size proportionate to your frame.

I like the cream dress--but it seems summery to me. I think a long colorful beaded necklace would look nice. Maybe a cropped cardi in a light color??

I don't like the BR velvet jacket with the dress. It looks like you're pairing a winter piece with a summer piece. But I do love the jacket. Try it with that skirt in the other photo. Try it with your Joes jeans. Try it with some plaid pants!!

BTW, have you lost more weight??

I love your new hair cut! Yay! Well done. I like everything except the stiff bag.
The dress looks more dressy to me like it should have a different shoe style, and different jacket or sweater. I love the stitched lines.
I love the red jacket, and yes it is good to see fleece in something that is not just a box.
The blouse looks good with the skirt and the jeans to me. That denim skirt is fab. It is your best skirt length, I think. Your legs are beautiful and they show with that hemline.

Thanks for the comments -- I'm glad the print top is a keeper; I've been a bit bored lately with all solid colors.

I haven't lost more weight (at least I don't think so) -- I'm just wearing clothes that fit finally!

Hi AJ, super haircut, LOVE! I really like the blouse and the purple tote on you (and they look so great together!) I'd keep those as well as the dress. I don't really like that jacket with it, though. Have you tried cardigans, or a jacket that's more cropped?
The jacket itself might be nice but I'd love to see it paired with jeans.
I don't like the fleece jacket very much; it looks a bit kimono-like, which I think doesn't go wtih this fabric.

I also liked your haircut. Didn't like the fleece top. Liked the blouse ( made me think about getting a crinckly blouse; also they seem so easy care!)

I love the blouse and the tote, very pretty. I would pass on the red fleece and am not quite decided on the dress.
