Finding the items you need at the right price

Ladies! *Back* zip denim pencil skirt at AT!

I have been squizzing at AT's latest items. Feminine, romantic, yet menswear inspired items with a slight 40's flare? I'm so in!
One of my happiest finds was a back zip denim pencil skirt. I know several of us were agonizing over the pooch our front-zip denim skirts cause, so here's a great solution! I tried the skirt on, and it fits perfectly. Haven't purchased it yet (I'm having a hard time justifying since my JCrew skirt is very nice and less than a year old), but it's on my wish list.
Check it out!

Love it! I have a Gap dark denim pencil that zips in the back ... have had it 5 years and it is a favorite piece.

Hmmm, I was just there with Shopping Friend this weekend and she picked this up. But I don't think she even told me it was a back zipper. I will have to check that out!

love it! It is so difficult to find a denin skirt with side or back zipper!

Tried this on this weekend. It is very well made, a really nice investment piece. However, the fit was not quite perfect enough for me. I looked like a snake that had swallowed a mouse in the 2p, and while the 4p was much more flattering in the tum, it gaped too much in the waist. Sigh. I had the same fit issues with the high-waisted ponte knit skirt, which I coveted. Have you tried that on yet? It's so comfortable.

Enjoy - it is beautiful and I'm sure you'll get tons of use out of it!

Did a Texas girl just use "squizzing" in a sentence?? LOL! Angie has influenced us all :)

Oh, but I'm a native NWer. :) However, Angie has certainly had her influence on me!

Love that skirt! I've got the same problem as you, Sarah...another nearly new dark denim skirt in the closet with the front placket and zip. What to do? This one is even my perfect length.

What a beautiful skirt. Do you think it would fit a boyish figure too?
The fabric looks quite dressy in the picture. Does it looks dressy in person?
I like that it looks to be a bit longer than some other skirts. I better have a squizz at AT!

You can get 30% off one full-priced item with the code "ANN30" - ends today, apparently.

Gorgeous skirt! Now let’s see it on gorgeous you :0)

I got it! I went with the size that fit my waist, although it does seem a bit snug on my thighs. I'll wear it for a bit to see if it stretches any. Plus, I probably won't wear it much until the fall - and we all know I'm still plugging away at losing pounds. Eight lost in the last three weeks. No more evidence of the cruise! :)

San, I think it will definitely fit you - you don't have my tum. That was the only problem for me. Try the high waisted ponte knit skirt too!

I didn't see that skirt when I went, shiny. Is it this one? http://www.anntaylor.com/catal.....pe=Regular

Thanks Shiny and Sarah for the heads up on these skirts. I am going to check them out.

I saw the ponte knit skirt in grey and black. Very pretty!

You know, I was 'thisclose' to ordering that skirt - especially with the extra 30% off code that was available. At the last minute though, I decided to wait until I get a better idea of what my shape is, before rushing off to buy new clothes.

Looking forward to seeing the new skirt on you sarbear. And you too san - if you decide to the denim or ponte or both.
