Last weekend: ChewySpaghetti was talking about about the difficulty in highlighting one's waist while still camouflaging any rolls or lumps in that area. I suggested a heavier tee that doesn't cling, and I wore an example of it in Saturday's outfit. Sunday was more boot-shopping and it was still in the 70s, so I wore a summer knit dress with a darker cardigan to "autumn it up".

Monday: It was grey and dreary, and I followed suit with a grey bf sweater, long black ponte pants, and my white Gap ruffled tank belted with a thin silver belt. But my cat stole the show in the photos, LOL!

Tuesday: This was my favorite of the week; I mixed up some wardrobe basics (red pump, aubergine sheath, grey sweater) and added in two pieces I don't use enough (mixed-stone necklace, black woven belt). I felt like I pushed my envelope with this.

Wednesday: The dark plume AT sheath was the centerpiece of the outfit, but I added nude heels and the mustared yoked sweater to balance it out. It's not a dress that works well with a necklace, which was a new experience for me. I thought the yoked detail of the sweater and the gold cuff was a good counterpoint to that though.

Thursday: Really not happy with how the photos turned out in this, but I liked the colors and the comfort of this outfit. It's funny how I can really see that pants hemmed for flats is not my best look at all; good thing I only have a couple of pairs like that these days!

Friday: And this outfit proves my point. These are the Semantiks suit pants, extra-long, and they make my legs go on for miles, not that stumpier look of Thursday. I loved the simplicity of this outfit; the cream tee and faux-lace pattern of the Target sweater worked really well together.

Heh, there was a lot of grey this week, and many pieces you will be seeing in this week's Wardrobe Capsule challenge! That's the beauty of a small closet, and of having versatile pieces. It's taken me a while to let that sink in.
