Kristen outfits 8/17-22

Had sort of a strange week, but in the end it worked out.

Monday: Wore a new burgundy sheath I picked up at AT on sale, and that blossomed into participating in Khris' Now & Later challenge

Tuesday: The NAS skirt gets another wearing, my cat makes a guest appearance, and I changed into a casual outfit for shopping with Hubby. I love that new blue bag, and I still can't believe it came from Old Navy.

Wednesday: I am madly in love with the colors of this new ON top.

Thursday: After not wearing pants for a few weeks, I suffer shoe trauma at trying to find the right one for PPL. I made do with a brown pair of Me Too flats, but now I am convinced I need to take those blue BR pants to the tailor to get them lengthened. I'd much rather wear heels with pants; flats make me feel too stumpy at the legs. I prefer the long tall Sally feel of Wednesday's outfit, you know?

Friday: What I ended up wearing after the NAS dress didn't work with any of my existing sweaters or jackets. I liked this a lot, but it wasn't where I was planning on going when I got dressed. :)

This week is a lot of meetings with clients and vendors, so I will be extra-dressed up. I think I need to wear the boyfriend jeans all day today just to feel balanced! :)

Edited to add Sunday's outfit: I did wear the boyfriend jeans, and a yellow-yellow top. Never paired the two yellows before; usually one is an accent piece for the rest of the outfit. Do you guys think it worked?

Great week! I really enjoy your pictures because I never have a chance to dress up. I am in love with the NAS skirt outfit!
The yellow outfit is very cute! From what I can see it works. I think a white bag would look nice too.

You crack me up Kristen, love that shoe picture;-)

Fab week, again!! My favourites are the AT dress (beautiful) with the hot pink cardigan and the boyfriend jeans with the two yellows. Yep, that works for me;-)

P.S. I was thinking "Kristen looks different here", and then I realised you weren't wearing your specs.

Beautiful! You always look so polished. Is that on your list of you personal style words?

I love how you work that AT sheath. Every variation is super! Your personality really shines through in all of your outfits. Your enthusiasm for fashion is positively contagious! I like the yellow on yellow with the bf jeans--great weekend outfit.

Wow, you are wearing fall clothes! And they look great, too. I like those rain boots, very nice. That black dress is really nice, and so versatile, I am looking for the same cut, but I want it in ivory.
I love Tuesday skirt, love it, love it, love it. That pattern is insanely awesome.
Those shoe pics are great. I can totally relate. :-)
I like how you paired up the long cardi with that pretty dress on Friday. Those long cardigans look fun to wear...
Great week, you always have so much fun on your pics. You look so relaxed. I love it.

Marianne, it's funny because I am so jealous of everyone who gets to "dress down" more than I can on the site. I have had to make myself stop buying casual clothes because I don't have enough days to be able to wear them. But you all own such tempting fun pieces!

Inge, glad the yellow-yellow worked. I thought it did but sometimes I need that extra reinforcement. Hee, I do wear my contacts from time to time, but I usually spend so much time figuring out what to wear I run out of time for anything else, so specs it is. :)

San, yes, polished was on my list of 3 words. Awww, thanks for remembering that!

Kellygirl, I am loving that sheath and its versatility. In fact, I am going to wear it today for my meetings!

Djana, it's been so cool here all week I have been dipping into my early fall items. We never had summer at all in Chicago, sadly. So several of my hot-weather items didn't get much wear this year. Maybe next year. The sheath is actually a deep aubergine color, not black. I got it at AT; they have it in gunmetal gray and black too.

Kristen, how is it possible for you to look awesome-r every time you post outfits? I just can-not pick a favorite. Although, since yellow makes me smile, the Saturday outfit is closest to my heart. Super sweet!

You look so fab! I love all the outfits on you, you have great legs for dresses. I love the yellow on yellow and the cat is adorable. Great week!!!

Kristen, amazing as usual! My favorite was Tuesday - you really rocked the black, red, and white combination. You just wear bright colors so beautifully.

Hello fellow sheath-loving girl. You look fab :0)

My dear Kristen, can I introduce you to textured hose? Successful monochromatic dressing is about stepping up the TEXTURE in an outfit. You *just* got your next challenge.

Awww, you guys are too nice. Niva, you made my whole week!

Angie, okay, you are scaring me! How do you get in my head like that? I scooped up a bunch of textured hose and tights at NAS and have been impatiently waiting for cooler weather to get here so I can wear them. I even got a pair of your beloved Oroblu micro-fishnets. :)

Therefore, I accept your challenge...as soon as it's hose weather.

Kristen, you always look great!!! I was going to start listing favourites, but pretty much every day is a favourite!!! Did you try on the stripey looking shoes with Thursdays outfit? Looks like that could have been a fun combo!!!
