I am out of town this weekend, but I wanted to post my photos before I left; I've been going dress-crazy, and loving it!

Monday: Everything was too big this morning, so I had to try on all my pants before I went with ones I knew would have to be their last wearing -- and then had to go small on the top to make up for the volume below. Ended up being a boring outfit, but sometimes the fast-changing sizing dictates that. Black Gap pants, magenta faux-wrap sweater, pink camisole, plaid peeptoe, intricate silver ATL necklace.

Tuesday: The ATL lantern-sleeved dress gets its first wearing, albeit hidden under layers! I folded the pale blue scarf in that cute rolling style that SusanD showed us a couple weeks ago which very much helped with the volume and length of the scarf.

Wednesday: Punching up basic black with the new lime, turquoise and purple banded top. I had that exact sweater from ATF last year in sunny yellow, black and white, in an XXL; I rebought this one in black and the cranberry above on my last trip there in a medium. Yeah, baby!

Thursday: The black ruched-front dress from Macys gets another outting, but this time I left the cardigan open so the ruching could be seen.

Friday: My "work casual" outfit -- I'm in flats! I liked the idea of the black ribbon re-purposed from a long-gone ON top, but I think I need to trim it down so I don't need to double-knot it.

monday - a very basic outfit, but everything fits well, and that's important! plus, could just as easily be jazzed up later on with a scarf, a cute jacket, a statement necklace - sky's the limit!
tuesday - love. so cute!
wed - just so you know - i'm stealing the top.
thurs - i am so biased, because i love that particular shade of blue on black. you look so slim in this!
friday - i have already expressed my love for this number in the other thread, but if you need it again: i love this number. the colors on that dress are just SO fab on you.

Kristen, what a beautiful week! I had such a hard time picking a favorite, but Thursday and Friday especially stood out to me because the various layers are put together so well and in such a body-flattering style. You are so darn inspiring! (And please keep wearing dresses - you look GREAT in them.)

Wow, WOW, so glad you guys liked the outfits! I have to admit, it wasn't until I started wearing the dresses later in the week that I really felt I was hitting my stride, I think because the dresses are the right size now and my few pants are all too big.

Angie, I am SO THRILLED to get the killer award. Wow, that is the highest praise there is! For me, this wardrobe rehaul has been an unexpected journey; for so long, I selected my clothes based on what I could hide or deflect attention *from*, and I got to be very good at finding pieces that flattered because the fabric draped in the right ways and worked as camouflage. Now I am looking for clothes that FIT correctly, that emphasize my body parts (without tipping over into sexy/inappropriate), that show off instead of hide. It's a total turnaround that I'm not quite used to yet, so I am delighted to know you think I'm doing it right.

Kari, not to worry, I've already picked up two new dresses this weekend! One is a gorgeous dressy sheath in a bold purple, black and white pattern, and the other is a cute spaghetti-strap cotton sundress in bright fuschia/magenta. If you had told me even a month ago that either style would look right on me, I would have laughed myself silly!
