K/R/E? Citron AT blouse

I *think* I have the right size in this blouse, and I'm leaning toward keeping it, but I wanted to see if you guys think it looks big. Esp. in pic 4 with it tucked into a pencil skirt. The promo pic shows it loose through the bust, and that's how it fits on me, but the tucked pic they show looks like it may be more fitted in the waist... that would make sense, though, since I probably have a bigger boob-waist ratio than your average model.

Yay = Keep this size. It's supposed to be a bit loose
Nay= Try a size down. It looks weird tucked.

it's hard to say for sure without seeing both sizes. i think this size is fine, but it is possible that the smaller will look better....i am very much on the fence!

Yay! This blouse is gorgeous on you! I think it is supposed to be a bit loose, but if it bothers you, it should be an easy alteration to have it narrowed a bit and some fullness taken out, The color on you in fabulous.

I wish I could see where the shoulder seams are on you. It's hard to see in this small picture, but it looks like they are in the right spot. That was the key for me. I do think this is supposed to be a drapey top, but the shoulders have to be right so it doesn't look sloppy. From what I can tell, it looks great on you.

I sadly returned mine because the shoulder seams dropped down onto my arms and the smaller size was just too snug through the bust area.

I think it may be the right size, but to me it does actually look weird in pic 4 Perhaps it's because the skirt is so high waisted? Otherwise it's a great blouse! If you're going to wear it under jackets all the time, then I'd keep.

Wow. So beautiful. The fit looks fine in 1-3, but it's hard to know without comparing to the smaller size.

Just a thought...the blouse is great by the way...can the fit difference be due to the model being long waisted and, as a mere mortal, you are not as long waisted? I find lots of blouses fit me the way you describe...and I begin to wonder if I am short waisted..Angie has a blog on that in the archive...

Love love love! Citron is your signature color! Blouse looks like the right fit...but can you tuck more of the blouse in at the sides? Have you tried the smaller size just to make sure?

Looks like I'll have to hunt down the smaller size to compare. The silly AT site does not want to "find in store" for me, so it'll be another physical trek... sigh. I am team online for a reason! lol

Amy, the shoulder seams don't fall past my shoulder line, but they are out farther than I usually like for my jackets and shirts - I figured that that was because those are fitted items, so it is good you mentioned that the test holds true for this type of blouse, too.

Jayne, that is certainly food for thought. I don't usually have this problem with fitted tops - maybe something about a fitted top hides what you're talking about?

Natalie, when I tuck more, it just looks bunched up... bloused it out to disguise the puckers... hm, that seems like a sign that either it's too big or it's not meant to be tucked, right?

The color suits you so well! I think the blouse fits OK, but it's hard to tell. I'm also wondering what it would look like in a smaller size. I'm guessing if it fits in the shoulder, doesn't pull across your bust, and isn't too tentlike around the waist, you should be good.

I love the slouchiness of this blouse on you. If you have the chance to try the smaller size, I think it will make you feel better about this . I'm thinking it is an excellent candidate for the partial tuck.

Keep this one for now, call nearby stores to see which one has the smaller size, pick it up, take more pics and report back. That is your homework!

All I can say is the blouse is made for you. As for looseness, I happen to like the tucked look, and as you said you have to deal with the bust issue, but all I can say is you need to keep this in one or the other sizes. Truly awesome.

I think it looks just fine as is. You won't know if the smaller size is better unless you try it, but this one seems fine on you.

Ack. It says the closest size 0 is in Texas, in either color.

Is it worth it to pay *another* $10 in shipping just to know for sure that I have the right size?

No it's not! I like this size on you, it is meant to be loose! It would be too tight on your girls if it was smaller. It would not be attractive if it was pulling across the bust line. The blouse is fabberific. Keep it, wear it, love it.

Rea, look how the model has one shoulder raised really high, and the other arm pushed out at an angle, it may also be clothes pinned in the back for the photo shoot. Just saying!

I am having a hard time judging fit, because the pics are sort of small and you're wearing a jacket in most of them :).

What a fabulous color on you! It's like it was made for you! I say avoid the shipping charge in this situation and go with what you have as it looks fine size wise to me.

Well, I was set to keep this size, but an interesting development made me order the size 0 to compare: my current, beloved, very favorite citron top has finally started to pill.

I'll get much more wear out of this blouse if I can tuck it in throughout the week, and it looks like it'd now be my main citron item. I already have a loose citron top that *doesn't* look good tucked, and the extra shipping would only bring whichever blouse I keep up to full price, which I'm fine with now that I've seen and felt it.

The moral of the story? Rae, you should have just bought both sizes from the get-go!

Late here - I vote yay! Perfect color and I like the looser fit, especially with pencil skirts and tucked in.
