I want to thank you lovely ladies for commiserating with me on my UK visa woes. It is a bummer. But I've never been one to cry over spilt milk. It's done, it's out of my control, and it's best left in the past.

I'm truly fortunate to have a husband who loves me so much. He said he was glad in a way....as our trip to Thailand will be like another honeymoon The two of us, gorgeous ocean all around, picture perfect beaches and the promise of a romantic getaway.

We are leaving on 6th and coming back on 12th morning. It really helps that the vacation begins next week! No time to sit & feel disappointed anymore!

We have booked a beautiful beach resort in Krabi, Thailand. It has 3 gorgeous looking pools and honestly has the perfect setting....overlooking the ocean, set amidst cliffs with lush greenery all around. I plan to spend a lot of time in the pool sipping on cocktails, enjoying that view! The rooms look really modern and fresh.....I'm also looking forward to a pint of super-chilled beer while relaxing in the in-room jacuzzi once it's dark outside! Ah.....that does sound like pure luxury.

I also indulged in some retail therapy (and since I'm being so honest, in some much much appreciated canine therapy too by letting both dogs sleep in my bed for the last 2 nights ) I bought the asymmetric hem white & black striped jersey dress in #6 yesterday. It has a lovely fit and I think it's perfect for Thailand's hot & humid weather.

When I called my sister on Tuesday afternoon in tears to tell her my visa to UK was not approved, she felt really really bad and sent me another dress as a gift to cheer me up. #7 is her gift, and as luck would have it, another striped jersey dress

I'm feeling quite excited now. I tried on my favourite summer outfits with my straw hats and my 2 beach bags and everything looks really cute & fresh (and surprisingly, quite different to my travel capsule for Maldives from 2015). My 'perfect summer wardrobe' has everything I need for this vacation....and then some! I have beautiful caftans as beach coverups, lovely jersey dresses, a super cute beach bag, plenty of denim shorts to pair with oversized tees for sight-seeing, pretty swimwear.....all things I've been collecting over an year in anticipation of my next beach vacation. I truly love the ocean more than anything else....the sight of blue water merging into the blue skies, bordered with white sands that welcome the little waves....it really brings me to life.

I think I'm ready for this next adventure. Would love to hear any/all suggestions you may have if you've been to Thailand before.

Much love to you all. I am so thankful that I can share my joys & sorrows with all you beautiful ladies.... it makes me feel insanely privileged and lucky.....like I have a world full of friends
