K/R: pale blue skinnies

I've been looking for a pair of pale blue jeans that are not distressed and found the ones pictured yesterday at Target. They are full length unrolled and can be rolled higher. The second photo best shows the color.
I wonder if I should try a different store for a larger size for slouch. These fit just right as skinnies and will probably loosen more while worn.
What do you think? Is this color a bad idea? Would you go for more slouch?

In the photos it's hard to tell but I'll just say it - they look a bit "acid washed" and that bothers me. That said, I do really like the idea of pale blue jeans for summer and it may just be the lighting in the pic. Not sure I like the darker blue cuff when they are rolled though. I think I vote Nay.

Is it weird that my first thought was Lou Reed ("Linger on your pale blue skinnies?")...

Agree with Tex and Una. Those look like acid washed jeans from the 80s. So great 80s vibe, but I have bad memories of acid washed jeans!

I don't care for these, Joy. I agree they look acid washed and the fit isn't as nice as your other pants.

Agreeing with the others, Joy. You can do better on the "pale" shade of blue so it doesn't go into acid territory.

Interestingly enough I tried the Gap 1969 faded straight legs just today thinking I wanted a pale blue - and then I just couldn't style them to my liking. I gave up after the first three tops I chose didn't work with them. Maybe pale blue is just not my color for jeans. I have some lighter blue (somewhere between med wash and light wash I guess) that suit me so much better. I don't mind white jeans so it's not just the light part, I think it was the fact that the pale blue wash was just a little streaky and I also felt very "80's" to me in a bad way, not a good way.

I love the '80s! What's wrong with acid wash?

That said Joy, they look a little too much like legging jeans. So because of that, I vote pass.

I like them, but my favorite jeans for this summer are distressed acid wash BFs. It depends if you think that a solid light blue works better for your style.

I don't think that these are The Ones for you, but I had to drop by to say you have really nice feet. Okay, I know it sounds weird. But truly, they're very pretty, and I'm envious.

These did not come home with me. I decided that I do like the color and light weight fabric for summer, but am not sure the fit is right. These are called a skinny ankle fit and none of the sizes I tried made me think "this is the one". Maybe a belt would help with the fit as the bigger ones slip way down on my hips. Still thinking about these.v

In the photo, they look very tight, but the other "slim" BF jeans don't appear that way. Angie might know if they fit similarly.

Sarah, I will try them! Thank you, and Angie too for the validation on these. My local Nordies didn't have this wash last week. Now to figure out what size.
