K/R: NAS Items, help me decide!

The majority of my NAS items have arrived, and I'd like your help on a few key items. In my previous post with pictures, some of the jackets and tops were too long/big. See here.

The pis below show items in petite sizing, and I'd like to know if you think these are keepers.

1-4. Michael Kors trench
I love the color, and that it’s water-resistant and has a detachable hood. These pics show it layered over a l/s t-shirt and a suit jacket. What do you think of the fit?

5-6. Halogen suit jackets
In regular sizes these were too long in the sleeve. Here I am trying the 4P in both. Is the sleeve length good? They fit well everywhere else.

7-9. Lafayette jacket
Amy has this one too. I’m unsure if the sleeves are long enough? Color and fit good? This one was pricey, so I want to be 100% sure it's a keeper.

10. Nexx B&W shirt
The regular S was too loose and long; this is a Petite P (!) Fit OK? I have just dropped off my pink Nexx blouse off for drycleaning, and will wait to see how that turns out before I decide whether to keep this one.

11-13. Halogen leather jacket
Both Amy & Kari have this jacket. This is a Petite S; the XS would not have allowed for a sweater underneath. I *love* the way it fits. What do you think?

ETA: Added a back shot for the shoulder view. My husband snapped this one as I was turning, so the back looks all wrinkly...

Further ETA: I see that the gray and brown jackets are not getting much love. They are part of a work capsule, and have matching pants and skirts for office suits. I've attached some pics (with the old jackets that had sleeves too long) so you can see how I intend to use them.

I know they're not too exciting, but I need basic suits for work...so there you go!

My sweet husband took pity on me after seeing my feeble attempts at photography using an iPhone in our bathroom! He's an amateur photogapher, and has a home studio. The backdrop is a roll of gray paper. I've shown him Greg's photos of your outfits, and he really admires the pictures!

At first, I thought you posted pictures from the catalogue and then I enlarged them and found out they were you! You do look like a model. I love the red trench on you! The color looks fab on you. Everything else looks great, too. I'm not an expert on fit of jackets, but they look good to me. I'll be interested to see what Angie says.

The three items that jumped out at me are the trench, the Lafayette jacket, and the Halogen leather jacket. They fit you to a t, and the colors are so vibrant and flattering on you. I hope you keep them! I'm neutral on the others.

Good grief. I wish I had a place to take good photos - it's much easier to judge things that way. Alas, we will never have a home studio. That red trench was MADE for you, and the Halogen and Lafayette jackets fit you perfectly. I'm wondering if the NEXX blouse is still too big in the shoulders, but I know that these tend to run that way, and it's probably fine. The leather jacket looks good BUT I can't tell from the way you're standing whether or not the shoulders are too broad. Can you possibly post another pic with your arms down?

My fav is the Layfayette jacket - it just pops off the screen - beautiful fit and colour for you.
Next - B&W shirt, and leather jacket - fit and coulour is exquisite. Love the edge the black leather kacket gives you.
Red trench also gets my vote. Am so-so on the other two jackets - they are ok, but pale in comparison to your other goodies.

(So jealous of your access to great photo shoots!) Everything looks good on you, but the one item just jumps out at me is the leather jacket. Really good on you!

Wow! These photos are wonderful! At first I thought I was looking at a magazine. The trench in #1 is stellar on you, certainly a keeper. I like everything here except 7-9, it's a great color tweed blazer, but the sleeves look a tad too short to my eye.

The leather jacket is lovely (great vibe, and it also looks like something that'll be versatile). I also like the Lafayette jacket and the trench for their rich color -- both look lovely on you, and the colors are guaranteed to make your outfits pop, I think. The outfit in which you're wearing the Nexx shirt is very stylish (great shoes!) but I don't have strong feelings about the shirt or the other pieces. The pics are fab - it looks like a professional photo shoot!

Me, too! I like everything! (I'm fascinated with the photos from your hubby - the back drop and lighting help me *see* you and the clothing so clearly - it's amazing!!)

If you were looking to trim down your purchases any, my least favorite might be the brown plaid jacket. The fit is great, but I'm seeing it through my -wary-of-brown-plaid filter and prefer you in the grey and, of course, that fab purple jacket

I adore that rear mini-peplum on the leather. I wish more coats did that (as opposed to the strong horizontal line across my NOT petite backside!)

I agree with some of the comments above that the brown plain jacket is my least favorite. I am also not so sure about the grey Halogen jacket just because I am not completely sold on the black trim on it. Everything else looks great, with my favorites being the red trench and the colorblock skirt.

Yes, I figured that as part of a work capsule these jackets would be great. Just not as exciting as your other purchases. I think they look really good for office wear with matching skirts/pants, and the petite sleeve length looks great to me. I especially like the skirt suit options.

I was going to ask if 11 was to large, because of the back and the shoulders, but it may just be the poses as you said in the ETA section.

Wow! I thought these were the pictures from the website until I blew them up and then I did an eye-popping, double-take "WOW" because you are beautiful.

I love these colors on you. The red trench and the black leather jacket are perfect - perfectly edgy, fun, & sexy.

I think you look great in the suits and I love the mixing options. I'm not a fit expert so I'll leave that to Angie.

You would make an excellent catalog model, Sunita. I'd buy anything you had on! I actually like all of these, including the suits, which look to fit you perfectly. I particularly love the trench, the leather jacket and the Lafayette jacket.

RE: the suits, I think you look particularly lovely in the skirts. I can't tell you why exactly I prefer them to the pants (not that you look bad in them), they just jump out at me more.

The red trench is absolutely wonderful.

The purple skirt is okay, but doesn't seem to make you look as fabulous as almost everything else does. I'm not the greatest fan of colour-blocking, so it might be my personal tastes more than a problem with the outfit.

And here's to photographer husbands, amateur or otherwise!

Great photos! It's so nice to see a real live person wearing these clothes with good lighting. You make a beautiful model and your husband clearly has photography "skillz".

My favorites are:

Trench
Nexx blouse and skirt
Lafayette jacket
Leather jacket

Sunita, you are lovely and photograph so well. As I was looking at your photos, I said, "she must be a model."

The trench is wonderful, and the color complements you well. I wanted that trench badly but thought the red would make me look ill.

The Lafayette purple jacket is fabulous. You wear color so well.

The white blouse with black trim is sharp looking with your hair and skin tone.

The black halogen is great. I have the brown one, but it doesn't look this good on me.

For suiting pieces, I like 15 , 16 , 18 . I understand that you need basics, but love more color on you. Maybe pick one pant suit, and one skirt suit. Just an idea.

Wow. I love everything. And I am thrilled to see you are petite!! We wear the same size! You are now tempting me because I am guessing that what works on you would also work on me.

The suits: I love both of them. I think you will get a lot of mileage mixing and matching, dressing down and up. That plaid Halogen jacket was my favorite (the fit in pic 6 is impeccable), but I also love the leather detailing on the Lafayette, and I can tell you that I get a LOT a LOT of mileage out of my similar tweed pants.

The leather jacket... um, return it so I can buy it. Just kidding!

My least favorite is the red trench. I love the color, but there is something "off" to me about the fit. I am this way with trenches myself. Something about trenches tends to overpower petite frames. If you have to return something, I'd return that and keep looking. But if you can afford all, keep all.

I love the purple on you. I am a huge fan of colorblock, so I love the skirt/blouse combo. The jacket is great too...

My least favourite items are #10, but they are still fabulous if that makes sense. I'm just helping you cull

I'm sorry to say that I won't be able to help you save any money because everything is just fabulous on you. You look beautiful in every single item and your husband takes amazing pictures! Please tell him for me. You will have THE most amazing fall/winter wardrobe ever (I'm remembering a few particularly fab jacket purchases from last year, too.)
