KEEEEEEEPPPPPP! Anything that makes you smile like that-- and you do look tall!

Super! Keepers for sure. You do look tall when they are tucked. But not untucked. Sorry. Giving it to you straight !

These look absolutely fabulous. You MUST keep them.

KEEP! (OK - now I will go back and read your thread and look at the pics!)

Even better than expected (heh)! Of course you must keep.

I really like you in these. Keep!
It's seventy in Alaska? It is 38 here.

Oh my, these are gorgeous! How did I not see them in the last LL Bean catalog? The plaids are perfectly lined up, the length is perfect, these are indeed the perfect pair of pants for you!

Another strong vote to keep!

I had the same reaction as Viva: How in the world, looking at the catalogue pic of these pants, did you know how wonderful they would be on you? I would have passed them up as too wide, too plaid, etc. But you're right--you do look tall and beautiful in them. And the silly thing is that I had a pair of very similar wide-legged plaid woolen pants when I was 21, and they made me look tall, too! There's a lesson here . . .

If you don't keep them ... I would cry!!! Perfect and I knew you could pull this off ^_^

They look amazing on you - PLEASE KEEP!

KEEP! Anything that makes your heart sing like that, is a keeper for sure.

And yes, they are flattering and make you look long legged not stumpy!

If they are warm, too, you knocked it out of the park.

Super 70s fab look for you Una. Keep please!

Such fun pants! Love these.

Come on, now. Why would you ask if you already knew the answer? : )

But yeah, you look awesome in them and they are SO FUN.

O. M. G.

Can't. Even. Breathe.

OK, I keep returning to this post because I am so in love with those trousers! According to the website, the regular length inseam is 33" - AND THAT SHOULD BE LONG ENOUGH FOR ME!! (Sorry for the shouting.) I am giving these serious consideration. But I don't need them. But Christmas is coming

Nancy, I asked because I often don't see obvious issues when I love an item and the forum spots them objectively. :). So glad none have been spied so far! For those who are considering, I am happy to answer questions about fit. And thank you all for the resounding confirmation!

I have eyed the Collection for a while now - there are plaid pants every year and the blackwatch tipped me over the edge. Just luck!

Oh and Debbie, I meant 70s the decade. :). It's 22 degrees here.

Keep! Keep! Keep! I esp love them with the 1/2 tuck.

Too funny! I live right near the flagship LL Bean and have been stalking these pants for months. You totally rock them!!!

I'm smitten with that sillouette for my short and straight self and am so thrilled to see you foraging into fun new areas. If anyone can add an edge to Bean, it's you!

Oh and I'm dying to see how you style them!

Loooooooooove!!!! Definitely KEEP!!!

Mine just arrived. They are PERFECT. And they kicked those JCrew 3x1 skinnies right out of the closet and back out to UPS. (Interesting lesson: today I am wearing skinnies as part of my silhouette and it was a challenge to put an outfit together. Hmmm.)

Anyway, I don't have a single pair of wool trousers and I adore the plaid, the fit, and the silhouette of these. I'm just bracing for the "whhhhhaaaaat????" from DDs .... but that's okay. I'm going to have fun with these. Size 6 is perfect, inseam works great with heeled booties. Will be posting pics as part of my five-silhouette. Definitely keeping.

Thanks for the tip and the inspiration, Una. I've slowed down my shopping considerably, almost to a halt. It's been so wonderful to be focusing so much on my closet, and then such a joy to have a purchase that works so well. I'm learning a lot from this.

ETA - you know what detail I love about them? Those tiny straight slash pockets at the front. I'm not sure why I love them so much, but to me they totally make the pants.

VIVA! I didn't realize you actually bit. I want to see them on you! Did you get the regular 6? Aren't they fantastically made? The wool isn't supersoft but it feels durable - like something a woman would have worn on a mountaineering expedition a century ago to stay warm and protected. The lining makes them comfy. And yes, the pockets! I also found the rise really comfy - not too low or too high.

So glad you love them. And now I can rely on you for sizing help, knowing you're just a bit taller!

Yes, I got the regular 6. I'm 5'5", and I think I have pretty long legs (thanks to short/no waist). I do need heels for these to work, but I have black suede booties with a 2" heel which are absolutely perfect with them. Can't wait to wear the pants!!! Tomorrow for sure. It will be my present for meeting today's deadline, which I still have to do.

I love your "mountaineering woman" description. I'll have to put them on and dream about vacationing with Ernest Hemingway. Seems like something a gal might have worn while out doing manly things with him. With a silver flask tucked into my jacket pocket.

Yes. Can't wait to see your WIW! They are also loads of fun to walk in, and the length in P is perfect for me... lots of swishy 70's goodness. I always loved Mary Tyler Moore (and Rhoda) - every career gal's inspo!

We need to brainstorm ways to wear these and topper styles.

So! Why haven't you already ordered the black and white ones, since those are so fab? You will kick yourself if you don't!
