K/R: Jeans - YouLookFab Forum

I did a little more research into the Kut from Kloth jeans I was looking at and realized that the rise was going to be too high for me. I also never found it anywhere except online, so that helped me decide to put those on the backburner for now. I did a little shopping on Cyber Monday at J.Crew factory outlet (I'll post the other goodies later) and saw that their jeans were about 1/2 off, which was enough to make me go ahead and order a pair. Before I share my opinion, I'd like to see what y'all think about them. One bit plus is that they are 98% cotton, which has been hard for me to find lately. They have a good length and should work well for most of my flat shoes. I'm barefoot in the pic, so please keep that in mind if you're looking at length. And I know my sweater looks a little odd, but I was trying to get a good view of the waistband.

So, what do you think? Are they a yay or a nay?

They look good from what I can see. Are they comfortable? Do you want bootcuts?

I think the fit looks really good. THe only question I would have is with the rise. It looks like the rise might be a touch long in the front but that could just be the picture. The rear view looks good. Fitted in the thigh without being tight.

My questions are the same as Suz! Were you wanting bootcuts? Are they comfortable?
Also - I know that you said that these would work with your flats - but (and this is just my personal preference) - I think that bootcuts look much better with footwear that has at least a slight heel, as opposed to flats. No right or wrong about that - just something to consider when you are deciding on the style of jean that you are buying.

I find the rise a little high, actually. And bootcuts tend to look better with a little heel height. Perhaps going for a style that is more flared or more narrow at the hems, with a lower rise, is a better idea.

Just wondering about the fit at the top. It almost looks like they are higher than your natural waist.

I like all jeans with lower heels, but that could be just me.

They feel pretty comfortable. I know bootcuts aren't too trendy right now, but I've found myself really missing them. To me, they are my go-to jeans. I usually pair them with my sneakers or tennis shoes when I know I'll be running around a lot. I realize now that it's not the prettiest of looks, but it feels comfortable.

The waist is a couple of inches below my natural waist. The rise feels pretty pretty good. I still need to do the sit test, as well as a few others, but I think the rise fells pretty good.

This will sound kind of silly, but I hadn't thought about low heels with jeans. I've read about it, but for someone reason it didn't click in my mind. I'll play around with a few and see how that feels.

My big question is how do they feel when sitting and bending? They look good.

They look like they fit well! So it comes down to whether they are all that you are looking for--the right feel, the right shade of denim and level of distressing, in addition to the style, fit, and fabrication. You say they are "pretty comfortable." Personally I'd want "super-comfy-I-want-to-wear-them-right-now!" kind of comfort.
