K/R blue AT top

I got that blue AT top that Angie had in the finds last week. I love the color, but the middle seems too shapeless. I know that fluid fits are on trend, but with my curvy top I think the shape isn't too flattering. Possibly, I could go down a size. Thoughts?

I would try a smaller size but honestly the top looks TDF on you...

Thank you crutcher! What I see is too much material (all over, on the arms and shoulders too) so I'll be interested in other opinions...

I agree, even on the model it looks more boxy through the middle.
I empathize--have had trouble figuring out what size to get tops as it depends on whether the "fluidity" is already built in and to what extent vs sizing up.
This is why I bemoan the on-line approach when shipping to and fro is not free!
I would see what you think about the hip fit. That was the issue for me--being pearish and wanting most tops to also kind of be fluid over hip and not riding up/tugging down, some were still too fitted in hip relative to upper part that I couldn't size down and had to look for another style. I found that a lot of things that were portrayed as boxy still tapered at the hem, so were maybe better for apple shapes.

Hmm, a tough one. It does look very fluid and there are plenty of ladies on here who love wearing looser looks. I actually have a sweater that's perhaps as roomy as that myself. I do see a fair bit of fabric around your arms as you say and it definitely looks a bit sleeker on the model. On that premise I would suggest trying a size down.

Colour is DELISH on you. Try a size down and partially tuck the front for extra structure.

Yes, I do love the color. But it feels too big all over for my style, and I think most of you agree.

This one is going back. I'm going to see if the next size down works better without pulling at the bust.

I like it how you've got it styled in the first two pics, kinda ruched up at the waist, but I know from experience that few tops will actually stay like that, so I can understand why you'd want to try a size down.
