K/R Angie-pick AT striped sweater dress

OK, when I tried this on, I thought it was a sure thing. But now that I look at the pics, I'm not as convinced. It felt great, so I'm not sure why it appears to be pulling in #3 (too many Christmas cookies? because I don't have a slip on?). That said, I'd probably always wear it with jacket, especially for teaching. It does to well with my bracelet, though, don't you think ; ) ?

Thoughts? Other ideas for styling if I do keep? This is pretty bold for me, but I did write "bold" as one of the style adjectives I'm working towards in this morning's post...

I actually love this the way you have styled it with the jacket...to tone the stripes and break them up.
I would also wear this...and I don't do" this" many stripes:) Looks FAB!

Yes, it seems odd that it would scrunch like that in the back because it looks like it fits fab everywhere else. LUV the way you styled it with the blazer! KEEP!

You should keep this! It looks fab on you.

I often have those back wrinkles. They're sometimes caused by the way I'm standing. Heels increase the arch in my back there and make those wrinkles more pronounced. Sometimes, it means the garment's waistline is too low for your body. And, yes, a slip might help minimize them. Any of those issues could account for the folds of fabric. HOWEVER, I don't think that's a deal-breaker at all. I wouldn't give that a second thought.

Oh, I think the dress looks fabulous on you. The contouring and placement of the stripes is so flattering!

Have you tried it with long pearls or a bold pendant necklace, or a cropped jacket? Those might be fun alternatives.

Sarah this dress is STUNning on you!! I like how you've styled it here. How about a colored blazer/cardigan? printed tights and booties? a colorful long pendant? a sassy cropped denim jacket? a peek of colored tights with this same styling? a furry vest? (so many options!)

Sarah, this looks amazing on you. I think it's a little different to what I am used to seeing you in and I love it. The addition of the black jacket and with the boots is totally (and I hope Angie doesn't mind me using this) KILLER. You absolutely must keep.

don't worry about the back wrinkles. I supect its the movement of the fabric . You really rock this look. Its bold but not overwhelming and excellently styled.

This looks absolutely stunning! As far as the back wrinkles, I know it would bother me a bit so I would probably always wear a blazer, cardigan or vest over it - but that's just me. Because if the color, I think you have many options for combining it with other items - it looks great the way you styled with the blazer but you could also add something in a bright, bold color, like a bright cardigan. Are you going to wear it for teaching?

WOwee. It is a change from most of your posts, but I really like it on you especially with the blazer and the bangle. Once you get accustomed to it I'm sure you can find other ways to dress it. Have you tried it with your nude boots? And maybe a light jacket too?

Try it with a slip if you're uncomfortable about the back (though I don't think there is any reason to be.)

The back bunching is funny, but the jacket takes care of it, plus even without the jacket it's all black, so there is no pattern distortion. The knit also might relax from wearing and that would go away?

I like it both with, and without the blazer. I have those back wrinkles in my one winter dress; I've wondered if it is the thicker fabric. I ignore them, and I suspect they change as you move.....
