Thank you Angie for sending me back to the thrift store to return the red coat because I found 2 other great items that would fill some gaps if y'all tell me to keep.

1) WIW to the thrift store. It was in the low 40's this morning. I wanted to wear my faux fur scarf and this is how I styled it. (Don't look Angie! Maxiskirt poison!) I did feel overdressed, but I decided not to care. : P

2) When Amy posted pics of her fur evening jacket

I decided that I needed to invest in a pretty faux fur topper for holiday parties. Well look what I found at the thrift store! It's super SOFT, fully lined in silk and in beautiful condition! The label says Anna Paul. I found a gold version of it on ebay:

I want to cut off the ribbon strings and just make it an open jacket. I was just wondering if the stripey sheen is a deal breaker?

3) & 4) Every year in the spring, we attend our city's fair and rodeo. I usually wear black canvas sneakers but they always get so dusty. I've been thinking some sort of comfy booties that could work with shorts, skirts, or skinnies would be nice to have for this annual event. The brand is Ariat. The leather is soft and the insole is comfy! I also like that it has a hint of cowgirl without being OTT.

The thrift store wanted $30 for the jacket and $25 for the shoes. I had a 20% discount coupon for bringing in a bag of donations PLUS I still had the $12.50 credit for returning the red coat. So I got both items for $31.50 before tax!

So what do you think?

ETA: Added pic 5 as reference for what jacket might look like without the ribbon closure.
