I have to agree with the mom's on the boots thing. They have been the staple in my fall dressing. I always feel a little killer when I'm wearing boots, regardless of what else I happen to be wearing.
I think my kids are little bit older than many of you who have posted--and I think that does make a difference. For starters, I don't have to worry about sticky fingers or finger painting anymore. Not that my kids don't finger paint or get stinky fingers, but they just know not to come near me when they are messy like that. Also, older kids are so much more independent that they don't WANT me helping them in the mornings--so I do have more time to focus on myself. SO hang in there ladies--it gets a lot easier!
And I am still a firm beleiver in wearing a necklace or earrings on a regular basis. It's such a small step in the "getting ready" process, but it can make a bland outfit pop.
One other policy I try to adhere to, is I try to wear at least one unusual, or somewhat statement piece each day. It may not be "statement" to someone who dresses in high end designer wear, but it's a "statement" to the rest of my outfit.
