Keep (Yay) or Return (Nay) - Comfy Summer Sandals (Gone Grandma?)

Trying to decide if I should keep or return these sandals. They are Ecco and beyond comfortable. Strictly for SAHM/MOTG activities.

PROS: I have a hard time finding comfy shoes, I don't have any light brown/tan sandals at the moment, I liked these because they have a tiny bit of a heel, I consider my feet (particularly my toes) to be hideous (due to bike/horse accidents and scarring)and I will only wear sandals that cover as much of my foot as possible, good quality sandals, they "book end" my hair colorwise

Concerns: is the "crepe" heel too grandma, do they make my feet look big (well, bigger, because they are already a ginormous size 10) and is the color going to be versatile? I only want to keep them if they pass muster because they were $120 (I used to just wear flip-flops in the summer, LOL)..

Vote Yay if you think I should keep and vote Nay if you think I should return. Total and complete honesty appreciated.

Those are fine! They remind me a lot of the Bass sandals when I was a kid.

I like them. I don't think they're too casual, it's not like they're flip-flops. They look casual but polished, which sounds like exactly what you want.

Come on! They are awesome! Your feet look long, lean and agile in them. They are everything but clunky. They are everything but "grandma"! They ARE versatile. You WILL get your cost per wear and beyond out of them. You can wear them with dresses, skirts, shorts or pants. You can wear them with very casual outfits as well as dressier ones. They will be perfect for traveling. Please do keep.

Sorry...I don't LOVE them on you. $120 is steep if they aren't wonderful. I say hold on to them with the receipt until you find something better.

I was going to say keep until I saw the price. They don't scream Grandma to me, but they do seem just a bit "rustic"?
I'd hold out for something else.

I like them for just very casual running around , but that price is steep. I'd say it depends a lot on *how* hard it is to find comfy shoes...if its a major pain, then I would keep and wear...if its just somewhat hard I would keep looking. They are ok, IMO, but just not 'great' and for that money they should be....but attention will be on your pretty outfits, not so much your feet then.

They are a bit plain..but certainly not grandma! If they are comfortable I think they could be a great basic.

And I think the color blends nicely with your skin tone, so they'll make your legs look extra long.

I think they look fine for their purpose. My question is - are they $120 worth of comfortable? If so, keep. If not, return.

I think it depends on your personal style. It is really hard to say. I think the color is great. The only thing I pause over is the sole material. I don't think it makes them Grandma, but just less fashion-forward. Certainly don't make your feet look big. It sounds like they fit all your other criteria, so I am thinking yay.

These look fine to me. Price tag on shoes, I ignore in favor of comfort if they are comfortable keep them. I think the color is fine, they are a neutral.

I voted Yay. With the comfort and color that blends so well with your skin tones. A MOTG will get the cost per wear on these down to pennies.

I vote nay because I am a 10 and there are many shoes out there that are comfy and slightly more stylish. 10 is the new 8 don't you know? Just go to Nordstrom Rack and start in the 12+ section to feel petite. I remember not finding any 10s now they are much easier to find.

I don't love these--sorry. If they are comfy and you just want comfy shoes, I think they are fine, but I agree with QM that they seem kind of rustic. I know I'm going to get slammed for this, but I actually don't see these as more fashionable than flip flops.

Solely on looks, I'd say keep. I am not sure I would spend that much for shoes that had limited versatility though.

Thank you all for your responses. Everyone has good points for the keep AND return sides. They are from Zappos so I can hold on to them for a bit while I decide what to do. I haven't found any outfits that *needed* these shoes. Maybe that's my problem: I'm not dying to wear them. I guess I want comfy sandals that I'm dying to wear! My brown/tan summer sandal search continues.

I'm not into them either. I have fussy feet too but I will still only wear shoes I love. Call me vain and shallow...but hese just don't look like fashion to me. They look like function.

Sounds like you have your answer! Kappy, as a fellow tall woman (I'm 5'11") with feet to match (I typically wear a size 10 or 11) can I point out that your feet aren't large at all in proportion to your body :)? We would look sort of odd if we had miniature feet, don't you think?

I'm voting yay. I know what it is like to have fussy feet and to be running with kids all summer long. I say keep your feet happy during the day and save the heels and fancier shoes for date night with hubby.

ETA: just read your last response. Glad you are able to hang on to them while you continue your search. You want to be happy with your choice.
