A family member of mine gave me several bags of clothes most were sweatshirts etc but I did find a few dresses and shirts that I thought were kind of fun. I don't know if I will keep any of them but I thought that I'd share some of them just for the fun of it. I felt very 1970's in these. I will apologize now for how dark some of these pics are. Comments welcome! So do you think I should pass these on?

#1- off white turtle neck with lace on the collar and sleeves
#2- print blouse
#3- blue and white geometric print dress
#4- white dress with orange and brown flower pattern
#5-pale yellow dress with grey and white flowers
#6- blue and white stripe shirt dress

I agree! #4 and #5 seem like classic pieces. Maybe #6 too?

I also was really drawn to 4&5 but it was kind of fun to try the rest of them there is another dress with the same cut as # 5 but it's longer sleeves and is blue. I was actually very surprised at some of the items I found considering who gave me the bags of clothes lol

Oh wow thanks everyone I was really just playing with some old clothes I never really thought that I should keep any of them but after reading all the replies I started to really play with some of the dresses. I added another pic of the pussy bow dress with a belt that I already had I'm still messing with some of the other things but what do you think is this better than the other pic of the dress? I'm just not sure about this one I like the pattern but I just don't know if this one works for me.

Thank you Maryk! I will continue to play with some of the things I picked up and re-post pics of them. I'm sure that my 91 yr old grandmother will be quite surprised to find me wearing the things that she gave me lol!

I love nr 4 and nr 3 in the new picture. Isn't it fun to wear your grandmothers' dresses! When I was in my teens/twenties I wore a summer dress that was made for my mother by a seamstress when she was young, about 60 years ago. Now it is waiting in my spare closet to see if either of my daughters will fit it.

I like 4, 5 and 6, right away and think the belt works fine with the dress from #3.

Love 3-5~ That black and white is very retro.

You've mentioned a bunch of times that you have a large wardrobe. I would get rid of anything that isn't a 10 so you don't add to your collection of clothes that never get worn.

I really like 1-4. 1 and 2 would look great tucked for Fall, and I think 3 looks really good belted! Love that print! everyone else has covered #4.

HelenH- you are so right it was fun to try on some of her clothes from years ago!

modgirl- that makes so much sense I have been editing out anything that is ill fitting etc so far and I sent 8 bags of clothes and shoes to the goodwill so far. My next step will be to edit out anything that is not a 10 of course I may end up with almost nothing in my wardrobe. I will probably be posting that question to all the wonderful ladies here to try and help me weed out the not so great items!

rae- I was thinking the same thing for 1-2 maybe with a skirt and some boots etc

You got some great things and they fit you well. This retro look is perfect on your figure. I love the blouses, the white turtle neck might need another layer to give it depth and the second blouse will be nice tucked into a skirt. You look great with a belt on your waist and all of the dresses that you added a belt to are beautiful on you.

Thank you san I've been told that my figure is perfect for dresses lol maybe they were right. I do find myself drawn to the retro styled dresses ironically enough as a teen you would not ever catch me in a dress. Good ideas for the shirts too I'm almost looking forward to fall so I can start layering things again.

4 & 5 look great. Try tucking #2 into a high waisted skirt - if this works it may be worth taking to the tailor to get the sleeves altered to elbow length (or DIY with a narrow hem & some elastic...) I personally love the print of this one

All of the dresses are keepers. You wear dresses very well.

I, too, really like the dresses! I like #3 and think it looksreally good belted with your nude pumps. I think you could even do a wider belt with it. #4 looks like it was tailor-made for you. That silhouette is perfection on you!
