I ate pretty well this week but at the moment I'm terribly bloated and feel like a whale. I hope it goes away soon. I had 2 gym 2 run. How was your week?
My week was great! 2 swims, 2 yoga, 3 runs leading up to my first triathlon of the season, and my first since 2013! Personal best by 12 seconds, LOL! Considering the downtime in 2014 due to the relocation, and the change in training routines due to going from an 8 hour work day to 12 hours due to big commute, and the loss of training support (no bike group yet, and no coached swims) I'm super happy.
I've just returned from an early lunchbreak where I signed up for 5 free days at the gym at my work and will join after that. I was just waiting for the membership at my previous gym to expire. Unfortunately that gym was at my previous workplace and therefore not very convenient to get to since I changed jobs, so has been something of a waste of money. Looking forward to a fresh start!
Today is day 10 of the Whole30 program for me. There are few timelines posted based on the experiences of the masses. It seems that many people feel a bit of a puffing that feels like weight gain around day 7-9 and it is just the digestive system adjusting to the new way of eating. I think I experienced that on the weekend.
I had a pretty good week. I was over 80K steps even though I forgot my fitbit one day. A friend has been doing daily challenges and I have joined in. It makes me more conscious of how much I am moving during the day. I golfed twice as well and did two short runs. Overall, it is going well. The real test may be next week when I am off work and have easy access to the fridge all day.
A good week here with 6 days of exercise, two walks, three gym sessions and one stairs session. Eating was good and lots of painting the house too!
Well done Carla on the triathlon, great achievement. And Cheryle on the Whole30, I hope it has the results you want. Shedev, I hate bloating, I had that last week but feel much better this week. I do not know why!! And the gym does have to be convenient Anne, it makes it so much more inspiring to go:)
I've been maintaining my exercise schedule so I'm quite happy. I could be eating better but at least my weight is holding steady (albeit on the high side of normal.) Will have to address diet one of these days, I suppose. Hope everyone has a great week!
Good week. Several days with over 10,000 steps. This next week I expect to gain weight, though. I don't know how the French stay so slim with so much rich food available. I will be getting in a lot of walking.
Hi Shedev. I feel your pain and feel the same way this week. I did however change a few things in terms of my eating habits.
I figured out what my macronutrients are (scoobyworkshop.com) since I've been weight training and hadn't seen any results. Apparently, I need to eat 124 gram of preotein day. My gym instructor/nutritionist recommended that I try the 40g carbs /30g fat /30g protein to see if I'd see any changes. It's only been day 2 but i find that I'm not as hungry as before, maybe because I've cut down on the carbs. It's pretty strict and takes a lot of planning but I'll try it out for a while.
Exercise has been good. I'm on week 13 of StrongLifts 3x a week, run 2-3x a week. Hopefully these inches will come off.
