Jeans for a Fuller Thigh

Angie's recent post on jeans for curves got me wondering about jeans to fit an otherwise slender hourglass shape with a fuller thigh. My waist and hip measurements put me into a size 2 in Gap jeans and a 26 in premium denim, but at 20"+ inches around the thigh, the skinny and bootcuts are sized much too tight (meaning, can't get my leg into the darn thing).

Trouser and wide legs have worked in the past. The Gap Essential Trouser jean from last season, which I'm currently wearing, is close, but not great. I've read some positive comments about 7 For All Mankind's "Ginger" cut, which has a wider leg. Has anyone tried it?

I'm reluctant to pay full price for premium denim, but I'm willing to propel myself to Nordstrom's and try stuff on. Suggestions welcome.

I would suggest:
COH Hutton

7FAM Ginger

and Gap Curvy fit jeans

All three are definitely generous in the thigh, which I need as well.

Garmenta, I have the exact same issue (same size too normally). My favorite brand is J Brand although I am always still squeezing my thighs in no matter what I try. If you can't get your legs in at all, consider going up a size and having the waist + a little more taken in. I've just decided the tightness in the thigh helps the jeans stay put and gives me curves on my otherwise straight figure.

Oh-- try Silver brand at Nordstrom in BP. They're less expensive and have a lot of stretch which is really helpful for the curves. The down side is the low rise. But in general looking for stretchier denim is a good idea. BR seems to have fairly stretchy denim this season.
