Fabulous, Vicki! I'm putting in a vote for look #1, with the black shirt and black pumps, but then I'm biased toward black and gray. They're my favourite colours. I think a red top would work too.

Rereading each and every comment, I want to say thank you SO MUCH for your caring and thoughtful responses and words of praise. Along with your friendship, you’ve given me so many creative ways to style this great skirt that I hadn't thought of, such as the denim shirt, white or bright wovens or a loose gold belt.

Lyn, Amy, yes I'm giving myself permission to wear the skirt with and without a belt and I don't honestly know where I heard or read this, but it's erased from my memory bank.

kcanshop, ana, suburbiana and Rae, cciele, I'm going to really make the most of this "neutral" and add denim (shirt and jacket) and/or booties to the mix.

Jayne, Shannon, Deborah, Christyg, Debora and ManidipaM and Elisabeth yes the BB black woven felt like a natural.

Kristin, morethanbeige, Kyle, AJ, Una, GP, raclar wearing red and orange definitely will spice it up and yet bring on the casual look that I really enjoy.

Krish, thanks for the excellent styling ideas with the gold belt, which I do have. My only concern with a thinner belt is the way it might pop off the waistline when I sit or move. The white shirt is another great topper suggestion.

Velvetychocolate, your ideas are making my head flow with other possibilities and I like the moto jacket effect and your reference to Angie's post about this formula. Good reminder.

Angie, thank you for your always-kind and astute input; it truly gives me the confidence to go out there and enjoy fashion and take chances along with it.

christianne, claire, jonesy I'm happy to hear there are other HGTV HHI viewers. I love seeing the variety of homes in different countries.

Sveta, I know you would look beautiful in an animal-print pencil skirt and I do apologize for giving you cravings, but you know you'd rock it. I appreciate the pointy-toed observation on the shoes.

Jjsloane and Suz, thanks for your encouragement with something new in my closet! Reading these comments really does inspire in so many ways.

Thank you so much, everyone!

You were made for pencil skirts, Vicki, WOW! And you rock the look with and without belts, so please keep wearing both:-)
I love outfit 1 with the black shirt (how cute is your pose in pic 2!-), but all the other options are wonderful too. Red and orange will look smashing with the skirt.
I was going to suggest pairing it with a denim or chambray shirt (no surprise there), and see a few other people had the same idea.

I also love the idea of adding a waistcoat over the button-down shirt, if you'd like an extra layer without adding too much warmth. Perhaps with flat oxfords for a fun, androgynous look?

I love this skirt! and if I don't say so myself you look awesome in it!

When it comes to wearing it in another way I would think maybe of dressing it down. What first comes to mind is maybe a denim chambray. I think you will definitely get a lot of use out of this!

Hi,
I have a leopard print pencil skirt but m not sure what to pair it with? I am not able to see your photographs....let me know how can I see them?

I just love a black button-down, and you wear it here just perfectly! #1 is absolutely fabulous in a European, timeless, perfect sort of way.

As variations for #1, because I like to play with mixing mood and proportion, I would try the black button-down top with black booties, or the black pumps with a chunky black cropped sweater. But as it is, it is gorgeous.

You are one of my style role models -- so I'm loving these. Personally, I love pairing leopard with an orange-y red and would dearly love to see this with a pop of color. I think it would take your already stellar looks to a whole new level.

Looks fantastic!!!

Wow! Thank you and this is a blast from the past and was posted two years ago. You've reminded me I must wear it again.

In answer to your question kaneez, I thought since you are registered with a username, you should be able to see the photos. You may want to send a message to Greg, the administrator of all the beautiful things that happen here.

I was so disappointed to see that this was an old post, because I have been looking for a leopard skirt just like that, in a petite! Oh well. It's fabulous on you.

Kaneez, I think you have to be a registered member for a few days before you can see the photos. Check back then and see if you have any luck.

I never heard anything about "no belts with pencil skirts." I like it with the belt, and I like all the ways you are wearing it, but the white shirt is my least fav. A distressed denim jacket would look fabulous as a topper.

Kaneez, be patient. You will be able to see ll the photos just as soon as you meet the new member criteria: three days and commenting on two posts, I believe. Hang in there!

Hey, Gigi, don't be disappointed, I'm happy everyone checked in again. It was a J. Crew skirt and, Kaneez, we'll get you sorted and hope you can see the photos that are here. Karie, YES, a denim jacket would be a great topper!

Thank you all!!!
I will keep waiting till the time I become

I love #1. Totally killer on you, beautiful Vicki. xo

Hey Vicki, you look fab in all. First one is my favorite as well. Keep rocking.
