Okay, so this is how my shopping head works and how I roll sometimes…I was watching a “House Hunters International” program on HGTV and saw a woman realtor in a cute leopard pencil skirt, with a crisp black dress shirt. I can’t even recall the country right now (Italy, Spain or Brazil, perhaps?), but she looked more fashionable and elegant than the people buying the property.

On a lark, I ordered a similar one from J. Crew, in a 2 petite (one of the only sizes left and one I thought may work). I wasn’t even sure of the fabrication until I got it (100% cotton with a bit of stretch).

I really like it and feel it looks best as I first saw it, with a black shirt and black pumps, shown in photos 1-3. I know that belts probably shouldn't be worn with pencil skirts (where did I get that idea?), but I feel like the belt (1 & 2) elongates everything in a nicer way. I’ve added a few others here, but they don’t stand out to me. Interestingly, J. Crew’s model is showing a more casual look with an orange knit top. Could it work on me? Possibly, but I’m not sure. Your honest assessments are always appreciated! Thanks.
