Kung Hey Fat Choy!

It's the year of the Monkey. Greg and my Dad are Monkeys!

We were in HK last year for CNY and it was absolutely MAGICAL. The Cox Castle will be celebrating tomorrow, and looking forward to the special year of the Monkey.

My son was really hopeful yesterday that school will be off today. But only in New York or maybe San Francisco. Not where we are.

Gung hey slin nan! Everyone I know is expecting big things. They've been waiting waiting, going around yelling Monkey! Lol. The bakery even gave out red envelopes.

Suz, you sweet and gracious thing. How are you celebrating CNY? If I remember correctly, you make dim sum, no? And how fun that Mr. Suz is also a Monkey. They are the BEST! Little Sam is a Sheep and I'm a Dog. What are you and your DD?

I went to my brothers for celebration and dinner. My sister in law is Chinese and we ate the traditional food. It was so good.

Happy Chinese New Year! And awesome patterned pants!

I read that the year of the monkey should be a good one for us rats. Monkeys and rats are supposed to get on like a house on fire, (although among my family and close friends there are no monkeys). Anyway, here's hoping. It's gotta be better than last year, yes?

I am a Dog too Angie- I think we were born the same great year! My Hubbie is a goat and my sons are a horse and a monkey! We don't celebrate but we have friends that do! Happy Chinese New Year

We celebrated at our favorite Peking Duck restaurant. DS is a monkey and I am a horse. DD and DH are Rats! I love all the colors and the fun treats.

I'm a rat.
On Saturday a friend texted me spontaneously & we went to the celebration in the International District. I tried to get some pictures, but the lion dancers were going in and out of the businesses and the people crowded around them.
