Is this top a match?

I'm another one of those people going through the whole orphan skirts/trying to find tops thing. (Grrrr.) I love this skirt, but it's so hard match tops with because of the pale blue in the print. I found this NY&Co top yesterday and I
think it might be a match. I've just never paired red with brown before so I'm not sure....

Also, what other color camis can I layer under this top with say, a denim or white skirt? Black & white just seem too harsh.

I like this look! The top is very cute and fits you well. The shoes are ADORABLE. I think this works with the skirt - but you said it has pale blue in it? I can't see that from the photo.

I might also try the top with a white cami. White and red seem to work well together, esp for warmer months. Instead of black, you might also try navy blue... and that might play off the pale blue in the print. Otherwise, I'm thiinking white.

Maybe a white cami, with a necklace or a purse that matches the pale blue in the skirt, to pick that part up?

Thanks Shiny! Yeah, it's hard to tell unless you're close, but the print is a very pale blue. The problem with the white cami was since there's so much V to fill, it was like boom! white and then you see the rest of the top afterwards. I'm not crazy about that much white close to my face either, but I'm open. I'll take another pic tomorrow and see what you think.

Wow, you have my dream body type! I think the color is fine but it seems too long to me.

I think you could also put a light blue cami under it and that way it will tie in more with the skirt, and since the shirt is bright red it won't be too matchy.

I would get rid of the black cami with a brown skirt. Maybe a brown cami would pull it together better?

I love the look! For other skirts I'd try navy or charcoal or caramel camis ( in addition to cream and black).

I am wearing a brown cami in the picture, it just might look a little dark because of the lighting. Maya, if I can find the right light blue cami that sounds good. I know it's a bit long, but I thought the tie around the waist would offset that? Kinda like Angie suggests wearing a thin belt with long tops.

I don't know if the color on my monitor is wrong...but the cami looks black, the top looks berry and the skirt look light brown.

I see that you confirm the cami is brown, not black. But is it a dark brown? Maybe a cream cami would be better than white next to your face. I like the top with the skirt, but the cami is throwing me off, personally. I really think a lighter colored cami would work better. Maybe you can find a cami in the light blue that is in the print of the skirt?

Yes, it is a dark brown, and the skirt is light brown...so I agree it's not the best match, it's just what I have at present. I like cream, could that work if I can't find light blue?

Cream goes with everything. I think cream would look better than stark white.
