My birthday is coming up, and Mr. Scarlet appreciates a little help in picking something out, so I thought one of these necklaces might do nicely. The first one is much chunkier and shinier, and the second is more delicate and brushed. Logic would dictate the second one suits me better, but I really prefer the first one. Mr. Scarlet thinks the first one is better suited to a rapper or at the very least a more substantially built lady. I would note, though, that if something is too far from his expectation, it just takes awhile for his eye to get used to it. We are just talking costume jewelry, so it's not like it's a huge decision here, BTW.

So what do you think, is number 1 too much bling? It is quite gold, shiny, and chunky, but I think it is fun. I would wear it for example peaking out of the white blouse in photo 3, just to add a little spunk to this conservative look. I have also included a WIW photo because my outfit looks so disheveled in the store--I was trying things on and just wanted a quick photo of the necklace--but I suppose it helps to see my coloring.

I know you ladies will have some smart advice for me!
