Anne, it's exactly like NAS. Hot, sticky mess doing autumn try-ons!
Well, I admire you for giving these a go (and I'm sure your DD will enjoy them.)
I think you actually COULD look great in this look. There are a couple of differences between the ones I tried and the ways I styled them, and these ones.
First, as Debs has noted, these ones seem less stretchy and forgiving, so the skirt is (even more) body con than the one I tried!
Second, it really helped me to extend the leg line with footwear and if you did that I think you'd get a similar look to mine. If you notice, I was wearing ink blue booties (with pointed toe for further extension), and black boots (with a small heel) or black booties (ditto). I also tried a pair of flat black boots. All of these kept the eye from breaking up at the ankle.
I know you were just doing a tryon and it was hot but I suspect you'd have got a clearer picture of how flattering this look could be on you if you'd had the right shoes/ tops. The other tops (apart from 2) are probably not loose enough to create the effect you would be after.
I hope the kids are doing better! Chicken pox is no fun at any age.
