Angie's blog post today about the compact capsule was so motivating I am staying up late despite dire need ot sleep. (I've been pretty sporadic visitor here lately due to work but now that the IL primary is over it is not so demanding.)

I think the smaller scope of the capsule, yet terrific possibilities, made me think - I could do that! So I picked items out of my closet to correspond to her items with the influence of our very summery weather already, and the fact that I can only wear minimal layering when it's warm. My items:

Coral short sleeve t with ruffly decor at neckline.
Pale peachy tank with chiffon decorations.
Black/white plaid button shirt.

Gray slacks, kind of chambray looking.
Black knit skirt, kind of swingy.

Bright print cotton jacket with 3/4 sleeves. Kind of wild but makes me happy.
The last item was a diversion from form: Angie suggests a black cardigan, but I found that this new cardigan, the only new item in this group, was a perfect match to both knit tops! And I wouldn't layer the jacket and cardigan anyway.

Accessories: silver chain with clusters of "pearls" and beads necklace, another silver and gold circle necklace- hard to see on plaid shirt, butterfly scarf (my all time fave).

Black strappy sandals with silver circle ornamentation.
Gray suede sling backs - I would LOVE to replace these with something as dressy and low and comfortable, but the hunt has been fruitless.

I will not add a bag as normally my bag for work days is pure utility (though up to date and attractive) and I do not change it for specific outfits.

In conclusion, I also pulled items for a second capsule based on the same formula and will shoot it tomorrow to share. Thanks for the fun, Angie!
