In which Angie helps me pack for my trip! UPDATED at the bottom!

I am going to New York City for the Memorial Day weekend, taking the red-eye Thursday night and returning Monday. I have been super excited about it but have been so busy with family responsibilities I haven't had much of a chance to think about what I will pack or wear.

Enter Angie to the rescue! I sat down last night and went through the "Ensembles" archives in the YLF blog, and darned if I didn't find enough outfits to get me through the trip, when I added in an "Angie's Outfit" and a dress or two for going out in the evenings. And as a bonus I'd already put together my own versions of most of these and had photos to remind me of what I'd done! Hooray!

Thanks, Angie, for being such an inspiration and saving the day! And for the reminder that it really really helps to take daily outfit photos -- I ran across some combinations I'd forgotten about and it really made me want to step up my game a little!

What! Only one colorful outfit for our Technocolor Queen?! I cannot believe it!
Angie's ensemble posts are the best, aren't they?

Okay, I just spent some quality time in my closet and this is what I came up with. More outfits than I will probably need, but I like to have options. Plus NYC is dirty and I find I need to change more often than I do at home.

As you can see, some of my versions are more faithful to the originals than others, but all of the ensembles helped me put together the outfits! Plus I added a couple of dresses and a new outfit with floral pants I picked up at Old Navy the other day.

Wow Mary!! I can see how Angie's ensembles inspired you, but this travel wardrobe is extra FAB because of your personal touches.
