In dressing room: blazer 2

I do want a summer blazer and am thinking of this white one from JCrew factory in stead of the MUCH more costly Alice and Olivia one.

This is much cheaper but also less interesting. On the other hand, easier to wear?

Lined white blazer, really nice sharp lapel, perfect length, great fit, bracelet sleeve.

Thoughts?

It looks really good on you; you wear J. Crew so well.

I am not sure how to compare it to the other one. They seem so different.

What outfits can you/ would you make with either? What are you needing the blazer to go with?

I will see if I can try a few outfits - ideally, over dresses and jeans and cropped trousers. So for work and play. The Alice and Olivia is not great with dresses, sadly; although excellent with pants. But I think it might not be versatile enough shape wise for the investment.

Also, with discounts etc, this blazer was about $75. The other was more than 4 times that.

I'm probably going to be in the minority, but I MUCH prefer this blazer to the light blue Alice & Olivia. Although more basic and Modern Classic, it looks more powerful and strong.

I think you hit the nail on the head...this looks "easier." The other one is cool, but this one seems like it would take you anywhere. Love it!

I agree with Angie . This one is a slam dunk - and won't require fussing and thinking too hard about styling . And for $75? No brainer . However, factor in a dry cleaning bill after every other wear ....

I do like this one on you too and if you can only have one, I think the white is the way to go. I need to get to a JCrew outlet! I have a white blazer on my list and I haven't found anything I have to have. BTW, I did try to get the silver loafers but they didn't have them at my store. Which reminds me I need to order them.

You wear this blazer well. I think Angie is 100% correct in her assessment....while the other blazer is gorgeous too, you look more at ease yet powerful in this one.

I like this white blazer on you. It also reminded me of Nordstroms Halogen blazer and the ones in Finds. The third one is available in white. I like the angles.
