I'm back! Hannah - recent outfits

Hi Ladies! It's been awhile since I posted...I hope to start participating again regularily. :) I have been quietly keeping tabs on the blog and forum, finding new ideas and inspiration, and slowly working on my style. I've also started a part-time job working as a school aide for a little boy with mild autism. (I used to think I had patience until now! lol)

Here's some of the outfits I've put together in the past few months...Last year I did quite a big clothing sweep, so I'm on a rather limited wardrobe selection as I slowly add back. It seems like it's taking forever, but I'm doing my best to buy wisely - items I love, that fit right, good quality etc. One big change you'll notice is that I've added some jeans. (I was primarily a skirt girl before.)

A couple of my newer favorites are the gray pinstripe jacket my mom found at Plato's Closet ($7!!) - I have created so many outfits with it and am still coming up with new ones...and the green scarf from Forever21 - it's soo soft and cheery I have to stop myself from wearing it everyday! :)

Your feedback is welcome! I feel bad asking all the time and not giving...but I'm still learning so much myself I'm afraid I don't have much advice to offer anyone else. :( Thanks for looking! :)

HI Hanna, I am so, so glad you are back here! I have really missed you!

You look great in all of your outfits! I can see why you like the green scarf and the grey jacket, they are so pretty. I also really like that hat with flowers and how you look in tunics over jeans! Very. very nice!

Hi Hannah! Your outfits are lovely and they flatter your amazing figure. I think if you could hem the skirt in picture#9 slightly shorter, it would look even better on you.

You look adorable. I especially love the pumpkin color on you and the green hat.

Thanks ladies! Aww..and thanks Tanya. ;) I didn't realize anyone even noticed I was gone. :-P It's good to be back.

Bella, I appreciate the suggestion...I prefer to wear my skirts a little longer, for religious reasons, so they cover my knees when I'm sitting...that's about the shortest length for me. :)

Hello. Lovely to have you back. I was just thinking of you recently. Love the outfits, especially 1. 3 9 and well ,all of them. I could see myself wearing many of them. I like your V-neck sweater look. I am always veering away from plain ones but I like how you combined it with the scarf and the underneath layer

I love your outfits. You are so tall & slender! I really like the grey & black floral skirt with piping. I also love your knitted hat - so cute! Colors look great on you. The purple in the Branson pic looked especially good, imo. That grey blazer does a great job of showing off your waist.

I wonder if your jeans are a little big? They seem a little baggy.

Hannah, I can't get enough of that green scarf! It's just the shade of green I adore. Did you get it recently?

You look so long and lean in all your outfits. Besides the ones with the scarf, I also really like no.7. Blue and brown is one of my favorite color combos and I think it looks terrific on you. And the tunic fits you so well.

I can't pick a favorite skirt outfit, I like them all! Well done!

Welcome back, HM! You've done really well with the set you posted. I think your legs look so long and slim in fitted jeans...I hope it's a look you will wear often.

Hey Hanna! Great to see you back! You look incredibly awesome! You really have the perfect figure for showcasing clothing. I am so jealous!

I love your mixing of colors with the scarves and sweaters. You look great in tunics. I love the little jacket in the second photo--you are a very skilled thrifter.

I think I'd like to see a black shirt under the tunic you are wearing in #4.

Love your F21 coat and handcrafted hat...you look terrific in hats.

I think #8 might be my favorite--but partly because your hair looks so cute like that. Plus the cobalt and black look great on you!

I think the skirt in #9 could be shorter--show a little more knee? And I think the jacket and skirt colors are too similar. Try a pair of microcheck or black jeans with that jacket.

#11--again I think your skirt could be shorter and I'd like to see more contrast between skirt and jacket. But you wear clothes so well--it's difficult to find fault.

Anyway, it's great to have you back!

Oh, I just went back and read all the posts AFTER I typed mine...and now I feel like a dork for suggesting a shorter skirt. I forgot you prefer a longer skirt for religious reasons.

Hannah,

Great outfits- big inspiration for me! I love, LOVE that gray skirt in the last 2- you wear it so well!

Welcome back! Thank you for posting your outfits. I love your style and how you use scarves.
I hope Angie notices your graphic tee with scarf and white cardi, very cute.
Is the Penny's skirt with black piping big on you in the waist? It looks like it may be riding below your waist on your hips and may be the reason the button down shirt didn't stay tucked. If this is the case it's a cute skirt and looks ok to me worn this way. I do this too to get a length that hits a bit lower than it was meant to with A-line skirts.

Welcome back Hannah and of course we noticed you were gone. And naturally, we missed you!

You look absolutely wonderful. LOVE you in that hat. My goodness. SO fab. The gals have you sorted on the other stuff, so I’ll just add that you look great in green. It’s big for Spring so stock up :-)

All of your outfits are great and you look so stylish and slim. I love the burgundy tunic -- that is such a great look and the color is so rich. And the green scarf is beautiful -- I can understand why you want to wear it all the time.

Hi Hannah - you are so pretty and you look fantastic in your outfits! I love #8 as well. The color of the shirt is great and I love your hair in this picture!

WOW. You ladies have blown me away with your sweet comments and compliments!!! I was not expecting this. Thank you. so. much.

Christine - the wide-leg jeans are a bit big. I made the mistake of not wearing them around the house with the tags on first, and went tromping off around town, only to find out they stretched more than I had bargained on. *sigh* I'm contemplating returning the second pair I bought...they were sold out of the smaller size, but I suspect they would've been a tad snug even stretched.

Lena - yes, I got that scarf just a couple weeks ago! I've wanted a long thin one for awhile....but I refuse to pay over $10 for a scarf! You can't really tell with it twisted up, but it has sort of a tie-dye design in light blue going down the middle. I also contemplated a royal blue color, but the green just made me "happy"...and I always regret when I go against that gut feeling. :)

Nicole - thanks for your specific suggestions! I'll give the black shirt a whirl, and I would like to get some micro check pants at some point also. Don't trouble yourself over the skirt thing, it didn't bother me. ;)

Joy - the Pennys skirt does sit a little below the waist - I'm not really fond of wearing them right on my natural waist, it feels funny to me. Besides the fact that it's so hard to find ones that FIT in the first place.

Angie - Good news for me that green is big! It's one of my fav. clothing colors so I'll try to take advantage. :)

And I will have to pass along the hat approval to my friend! I'm sure she'll be thrilled. Even the guy at the Y desk told me it was a cool hat. lol
