I'm a dress convert!

This is the first time I've ventured out of my house in a dress and leggings. I was soooo comfortable and cozy!

Old navy corduroy dress, ATL scarf, INC denim leggings, and Star Ling boots:

Monday - new dress with teal ATL cardigan

I tried a skinny belt. Can I pull this off? I have a tummy, which this dress hides well.

very very cute! Love all the looks. I'm wondering though if the belt should be a tad wider?
and now, after seeing you in these 2 dresses, I'm more inclined to vote to return the plaid.

Great i particularly like the teal one with the cardi both with and without the belt. I'm with Queenie after seeing how fantastic these look i'd return the plaid one x

You look beautiful in both dresses! My only suggestion with the skinny belt would be to move it down a little lower on your hips, and when I belt my cardigans, I usually button the one button that will go under the belt. To me, it looks more pulled together (no pun intended) with the sweater closed a bit.

Boof, both of your dress outfits are killer! You look fantastic. I love it.

I'm not sure about the skinny belt; I don't know much about belts. I'd like to hear what others say.

You look great in your dress outfits. Your boots are so cute too and the dark hose. I think you can wear belts over a cardigan but the dress has so many lines in it I think this dress looks best without a belt or maybe having a wider belt would be more of a difference from the lines in the dress,

You look wonderful, and cozy! I have the same boots - wore them today, in fact, aren't they comfortable??

I can't advise on the belt, it looks good to my eye. I only know that when I wear skinny belts with cardis like this, because of my shape, the belt ends up slicing off a button. :-( For that reason I tend to like wider belts, they budge less, and worn high - basically ON my rib, not my waist or any soft section prone to expanding. But YMMV.

I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE the new zig-zag dress. I saw it when you posted earlier, don't remember whether I weighed in. It's fantastic. The purple dress is great too - but I think you may need to roll the sleeves up a bit higher? Something looks a bit off about the sleeves. Maybe wear them down, or a few inches higher, just above the elbows? The rest of the shape looks fab to me.

I am soooo not a belt girl, but I thought I'd try it for kicks. Realistically, I wouldn't wear it out of the house. :o)

Thanks for all of your very kind comments!

I love how you have the magenta corduroy tunic styled with the scarf and boots. The teal cardigan and dress outfit is super as well. Great outfits! Thank you for posting them.

Great looks! I especially like the second. You might also try belting the dress under the loose cardi.

I love the dress belted, you look fabulous in dresses!

Oh yay, an Old Navy corduroy tunic sista! Love how you styled it with the scarf and boots. The zig-zag dress is awesome. I think it works with the belt.

no wonder you're a dress convert, you look great in them!

I love these, and I second the desire to know the source of the zig zag dress? I'm a wannabe dress convert, and this one has a lot of my favorite colors in it. I also have the same ATL cardigan as you (am wearing it at the moment).

Thanks for all of the kind words! The zig-zag dress is from Macy's. I think the brand is AGB.
