Wow! These are fabulous icon suggestions! Powerful, talented, women and I admire all of them! I wouldn't have come up with most of these on my own, especially not Jamie Lee, Linda Rodin, or Robin Roberts. Annie Lennox! Wow, that's also a great choice. I can find something I love in each and every one of these.
It's hard to say which one speaks to me the most, because they are so different from each other, and I think speak to different qualities I might aspire to achieve.
Linda Rodin has a way with accessories that I admire and strive for but rarely achieve. She uses her shoes, glasses and handbags to create some of the most playful and joyful looks. She has a happy energy, and I like that. So does Robin Roberts. She has a positive and feminine vibe that shines through even when she is wearing her sleek sheath dresses. I would be pleased to look even a bit as good as either one of them. I have to say that these two somehow draw me in the most. I love Annie Lennox also. Her look is more androgynous or maybe even masculine. I love her short hair, that she wears straight lines, blazers, men's overcoats, minimal adornment, Joan Allen's casual style probably comes closest to my current daily uniform. She definitely exudes poise, and has the classic elegant style I like. Her color choices resonate with me because they are often light not dark.
Nicole Kidman?! Really! I need to think on this one. She is statuesque but I am not sure if I can identify her style. I have seen her wear most anything and everything. Cate Blanchette is another one that I admire. Once again, her personal style is hard for me to pinpoint. I have seen more of her red carpet looks than everyday wear. I would love her evening gowns, but I have nowhere to wear them! I need to look at some pictures and come back.
