Today, perhaps for the first time in earnest, I am surrendering my waist. http://youlookfab.com/welookfa.....-take-home The other day at the mall, this Vince Camuto banded blouse, black and emerald with a vivid citron stripe, caught my eye and wouldn't let go. I hemmed and hawed and finally took it home with an emerald knit midi pencil skirt.

The top is a VERY different silhouette for me. It's very blousy and voluminous, but somehow the drape just WORKS with my curves. The blouse feels absolutely divine, too. To ease into the silhouette, I paired it with very "Kari" items - my black and white specs, yellow lace-up Fidji slingback pumps, my "Lady Mustard" handbag, trusty white boyfriend watch, and a long strand of black beads double-looped and "Angie knottted." Adding red lipstick to the mix, and I'm feeling quite glam. I still can't believe I'm actually wearing a totally waist-surrendering blouse and feeling attractive in it! It just goes to show that an old dog CAN learn new tricks from time to time... even when she is stubborn and totally ingrained in her established patterns, as I am.
