Finding and understanding your body type

I don't know how to wear scarves, can you help?!

I'm new to wearing scarves, and I don't know the differnt styles to wear them. Even though I'm still in the plus size clothes, I want to dress in style and by adding scarves goes a long way. There is no reason for me to wait and feel good about myself until I get out of the plus size clothes. I'm working out and lost 66 pounds in 7 months. I deserve to show how I feel on the inside relfect on my outside. Any suggestions on how I can wear scarves?

Queeny, besides the links that Loulou provided, this page has a lot of ideas for styling scarves too. http://www.texeresilk.com/cms-.....guide.html

Here's a Hermes tutorial:

And I think the one on the Leigh & Luca site is really cute:

(click through to the "How to wear" section)

I'm also a scarf newbie, and here are two ways I've tied a long ruffle scarf:

Have fun with the scarves! Look for colors and patterns that make you happy, that add a pop, that echo or complement a color in your outfit. If you wearing the scarf close to your face, make sure it suits your complexion.

I haven't looked at all the links yet, but I've taken just having tying both ends into one knot and putting my head through the loop that's created once I do that.

Looks like a necklace, and it's not so much fabric around my neck, which can be hot.

Also, I try to find scarfs that have a lot of different colors in them so I can wear them with a lot of things.

Congrats on your weight loss!!!

Just wanted to congratulate you on the impressive weight loss! That's a great accomplishment and you're absolutely right to celebrate it! We're on the same journey in terms of both weight loss and scarf style, so I'll be watching this thread with interest. Keep up the good work and enjoy the scarves! Sounds like you've had a bunch of great tips already.

Besides looking at tutorials, just pick a couple and start playing with them. I look at the tutorials and just get confused, but experimenting on my own using some of the tutorials as inspiration has turned out ok IMHO.

Another great thing about scarves is they can really stretch your style options while you're going through all sorts of body shape and size transitions. As you move down in size, purchasing just a few basic pieces and accessorizing with scarves and bags and necklaces can make your money go farther. Changing sizes a lot can really put a dent in the budget, but scarves and such work no matter what.
