San, I just picked up COH Huttons in white this past weekend. Absolutely love the fit. The length is also perfect for me...I won't have to have them altered. :D
Love the William Rast top and vest. I still want to order them myself. I thought the small fit you great, but if you're more comfortable in the mediums that's probably the right choice for you.

I am always torn between two sizes and can never figure out how things are "supposed" to fit. I thought the smaller sizes gave you great shape, but if you weren't comfortable, I think, as Sarah says, these look fine. I think the white shirt seemed to lay better in the smaller size - this one looks a bit more bunchy at the bottom maybe? But it doesn't look bad. (As I said, please don't listen to me because I never know how things are supposed to look!)

Yes the Huttons are so incredibly comfy. I love the fabric and the fit.
It is always a trial fitting myself. I think I have just learned that my arms are longer than the average. The small shirt did feel constricting and the med feels better. I think the small vest was probably better since the shoulders are cutout and it gave more waist definition, but not enough for me to exchange it again. Different makers run larger or smaller and styles change from snug to baggy. I can't keep up.

San, you look wonderful! Are you standing on the edge of your bathtub?? Too funny! I agree, the vest was better in S. Something to consider if you end up returning the blue twill vest. But the shirt is better in M, most definitely. Those jeans are fantastic! You look swell :)

I just got the blue twill vest and it is too big! Too wide under the arms and the darts came up too high. Surprise because the size smaller was too small.

Wow, you look amazing San! Those jeans look like they were made for you. The vest looks great although maybe the S was a little bit more fitted - might have worked better if you intend to try the graphic tee under it. Wow, the legs don't look like what I would have expected a wide leg to look like at all. It's a very flattering cut!

Tarzy it looks like these jeans are no longer on the Nordstrom's sale page but there other COH including the Ava skinnies, and there are David Kahn which are great jeans. If you like these Huttons hopefully you can find them on another site. I think you would be happy with the fit. For a trouser cut they don't have all that extra heavy fabric and they are not totally straight from the hip down.
Do you think I would be wise to exchange the vest for a small again? Here is a picture of the small. I'm surprised that some of you noticed such a differece in the fit.

Some have said that the size small was better, do you think it is worth it for me to go back to the small from the med?

San, how does the medium vest feel compared to the small? If it feels more comfortable, you should keep the medium.

San, KILLER. That's really all I have to say. I'm with Laura in that the small looks a tad better but if the medium feels better then that's the way to go.

I also think the small looks a little better - it's definitely not a huge difference and I would have never thought it had I not seen both. I agree - you should go for the one in which you feel more comfortable.

San, I missed the first post but I think you look great. I don't know what the small looked like but the medium looks great and if it's more comfortable I see no problem with it. The jeans look amazing too. This might be my favorite outfit from you yet.

Thanks. I'm so glad I ran this by all of you so when I wear this outfit this weekend I will feel confident that I don't look silly or trying to hard. When you are young anything goes and as we age it gets tricky. Bummer that we have to add this aspect to worry about when expressing ourselves through style. I love YLF. I have learned so much in baby steps.
