This skirt used to be an orphan dress with a really ill-fitting top, so I chopped and rehemmed the waist to make a skirt. It fits quite well, at my natural waist, and is actually decently long on me (hits a couple of inches above the knee on me). It reads as a lavender check pattern from a distance, but it's actually an interesting purple micro-stripe pattern close up. It's also the slight tulip-y shape that I love in a skirt. The material is cotton and feels a bit like seersucker but a little heavier.

However... I haven't worn it yet because I'm totally stumped what to pair it with. As you might have noticed, I don't really do pastels or light neutrals. I could pair with white, but that feels too sweet and Easterish for my liking.
