As I mentioned in the post on Live Prices, we want to add the ability to send price change alerts in email. The idea is that if an item is in your Shopping List or Wardrobe folder then you probably want to know when its price goes down.

I have some questions about the details though. For example, when would you like to hear about a price drop? Assuming you do want an email alert, here are three options I can think of:

1. Immediately. The system looks for updated prices every hour, and we could compile any price drops that happen during the hourly update and send that to you immediately.
2. Daily. Once a day we could compile all the price changes that happened during the last 24 hours and send that to you.
3. Weekly. Once a week we could compile all the price changes that happened during the last 7 days and send that to you.

Also, would you want to receive a price change alert only once for any particular item, or would you want us to remind you more than once?

Finally, any other thoughts you have related to price change alerts are very welcome.
