The best was when I took a hanger with hooks at the end and strung a shoelace or something, knotted. Each knot secured a plastic clothespin. I could clip several scarves to each pin, and all hung in the space of a jacket but I could get to anything easily, and no wrinkles.

I, too, keep mine folded in the closet. I have them in a flocked box that I can remove from the closet to better see the contents. I have tried keeping them over the plastic loops or knotted on a bar, but I cannot bear the wrinkling that occurs. By gently folding them (and by happenstance it is never the same fold twice), they do not develop wrinkles that stay. Indeed, they look pressed each time I put them on, despite them only being occasionally pressed.

Ummm...... dropped into a drawer, where I can reach in and give them a tumble and see what churns up??? Not good?

I have those fabric hanging shelves in my close -- hang on the rod and drop down into cubbies. I fold the scarves, sort them by weight and color.
