Ack, it's funny. I put together a whole summer capsule last year that made me very happy. But it was dresses and skirts, and I have a great desire/need to cover up more this summer. Also my neighborhood is different now. Older establishment people. Quieter. Less flash. No va voom. Although, interesting enough, my country punk fits in ok. Being an eccentric works.

It depends what I have planned. I am always neat and groomed, but if I am home for the day, I dress very casually. I work from home 80% of the time and tend to squeeze chores, cooking, etc. in between work stuff, so my outfits are practical and comfy on those days.

I have just realised I have been leaving off 'the third piece,' the finishing touch. As soon as I'm covered, I've been wandering away... I think I should wear some jewelry.

It's the same for me right now, even on days when I don't have the weather as an excuse. I pretty much stopped taking time for any small finishing touches (jewelry, accessoires ...). I'm just throwing on clothes that I know work together.

For a variety of reasons that are too boring to get into, for the past week or so I've been sleeping at Lovely Fiance's house and running home in the morning to get dressed. It definitely means I'm largely in FFBO mode, particularly given the 90-plus temps we've been having. And Suz described my chore-heavy weekend strategy lately: shorts and a top that sort of goes with the shorts!

I'm hoping that I'll be able to move in with LF within a month or so and get back to having more time to play in the closet!
