I almost never use this word and reserve it for only the most heinous of fashion offenses (i.e. Louis Vuitton Patchwork Tribute bag), but those are fug. I'd far rather have a pair of strassed Louboutins, which are actually less expensive than those horrid things.
After reading the New Yorker article about him, I am even less impressed, frankly. I have to say I'm not a fan of men who tell women what to wear but don't have to experience it themselves. Obviously, that doesn't matter to his fans, but it irks me.
I couldn't agree more, Una. I remember him saying something along the lines of "Comfort? Who needs to be able to walk?" as he's standing there in his trainers. Did I dream that up, or did he really say that?
I've seen tackier, but I agree the joke's on women here! I can imagine the Sex And the City crowd (although I love the show, am not as shoe-crazed) rushing to buy this. If the money was going to a women's charity, I may be a little impressed.
