Thanks, everyone. You have made me feel good.
Ana has found the Kenzie jacket. I did get it at Nordstrom. The green one too.
Nicole, the red top is actually mesh. Also, I agree about more necklaces. Actually, I wearing earrings in the other pics which you just can't see. I've only started wearing jewelry in the last 6 months and I'm very careful about my choices. I've decided I'd really prefer to have a few great versatile pieces than a bunch because otherwise I'd feel very overwhelmed. I'm still learning to accessorize. I'm also more of an earring girl than a necklace girl, but that is balancing out.
The skirt is actually supposed to sit a bit higher on my waist and then I think the length is fine. Unfortunately it is a bit loose and slips down despite the fact that I've already had it taken in once.
My favorite jeans are also the ones with the red jacket. They are Joe's Jeans, cigarette (low rise though) which I got a deal on them at bluefly. I now feel very lucky to have scored them.
Angie, I have been thinking I was hourglass tending to rectangle since my thighs actually are quite full (pants always fit here first), but maybe you are right. I do like my straight leg jeans and belted trenches. I'll keep posting pics and maybe it will be more clear. I will have to reread your post on rectangles. I must admit that the blazer look is most closely aligned with my style and the coral and green jackets are this season's ventures into color. I find that there is a tension in my sense of style with two opposing desires-- one to be conservative, streamlined and nondescript and the other to wear stand out pieces.
