So I ordered something from Norstrom (!) online. My first as we don't have any close to us and never considered the store before YLF. It was supposed to be delivered today, but wasn't and no note was left by the UPS driver. I have spent the last hour and a half trying to figure out what the tracking site lingo meant, on the phone and online chat and setting up upsmychoice so I can set it up so if I'm not home they'll leave the package. The one rep said the delivery guy entered the wrong description into the system-they didn't deliver because I wasn't home. I also have another package supposed to be tomorrow and from a different company on Thursday. I have no experience with UPS and find it odd that I keep getting the "ultimately it is at the driver's disgression to leave a package". I did not know how these orders would be shipped until I received the shipping confirmations-not that that matters. Also, if it is the normal UPS delivery guy I've seen delivering to neighbors I hope he doesn't throw my stuff around too much. I'm gonna leave a note at the front door but the one rep said that wouldn't help. Has anyone experienced this? Have any guidance?
