I don't know why, but for the past 3 or 4 months my feet have been rebelling, or more precisely, the skin on the back of my heels. Several pairs of shoes that have been tried-and-true comfortable with or without socks or tights are suddenly giving me blisters if I wear them bare... or even with thin hose, like microfishnets. For probably the fourth time this summer, I've spent the past week with (sorry, TMI) large open sores on my heels covered with Blistex band-aids, which basically restricts me to slingback style shoes. (Though very, very high heeled pumps are actually okay as the increased angle causes less rubbing against the blister.)

Any ideas for what the cause could be? I'm pretty sure it's not a skin issue, and my feet are not sweating any more than they used to. My shoes feel fine when I first put them on and they do not feel any tighter than they have in the past, and I've inspected the shoes (several pairs) and can't find signs of wear. I just seem to be very suddenly blister-prone and I'm not sure what to do.

So, talk to me, my fellow fussy-footed fashionistas. What can I try to remedy this situation that won't require me to discard perfectly good and otherwise comfortable shoes?
