I have been a daily reader of this blog and the forums, but this is my first time posting a question. I have been searching for a black blazer and today I think I hit the jackpot. I was returning a birthday present which did not fit to Talbots. I normally don't have much luck there as it isn't really my style. While browsing, I found a black tuxedo style jacket with a satin lapel. It was marked down 80% from $229 to $45. Here is the link:

Needless to say, I was pretty happy. Now that I have it, I need suggestions on how to best wear this look. Does the satin lapel dress it up too much for daytime? Does it work with jeans? I know it is a classic piece and I want to get as much use out of it as I can.
