Help me style... boyfriend blazer

I have admired the boyfriend blazer on so many of you for months. I have wanted to try it but was unwilling to spend much money on one ion case I couldn't pull it off. Well I scored one at Target on clearance for $15. (http://www.target.com/Mossimo-.....&qid=)

Now that I have it, I am feeling a little lost at the best way to style it. For reference I dress mostly smart casual and business casual.

I was wondering if you ladies could send me links to pictures of you all rocking yours. I find the best inspiration in real life ladies, as opposed to mags or catalogs.

Nice blazer, Kendra! I think it would look great with a graphic tee and jeans for a smart casual look, and over a dress for a more business casual.

Honestly, graphic T and jeans is the only one I can think of, and I will probably wear that tomorrow. So I am looking for less obvious stuff... I like the idea of it over a dress, but I don't own any day dresses right now, so I really need ideas for type or dress (what shape, colors, etc...).

Try wearing it with:
- a denim shirt (heehee) and pearls
- something lacey or ruffly (feminine)
- one of those tanks with the built-in chain necklaces
- pencil skirt

I honestly think this is trial and error to a certain extent. When you get dressed in the morning try on your outfit with your BF blazer to see how it looks. I have worn mine with full skirts, pencil skirts, tulip skirts, skinnies and tunics and leggings. I have yet to wear it with a dress but hope to rectify this soon.

Julie is right, it is all about trial and error. It all depends on the proportions of the other items in your outfits. There are times when I have been dreaming of a certain outfit with the BF blazer but when I put it on the proportions all all out of whack.

I've been playing around with pairing it with dresses and skirts but haven't found a winning combination so far. Hopefully I will soon. Good luck Kendra!

Great looks Carole! I particularly like the first one, with the pattern mixing in the top and scarf, then the lovely pop of colour in the shoes!

Thanks, Yublocka! I forgot about that combo, it is good to look back at photos! I wore mine (BF blazer) today, with a new lapel pin (black with white polka dots), embellished t shirt, slim jeans and converse. I have worn mine quite a bit as I don't have a moto jacket, was never able to find one that worked or looked right on me. Maybe next year!

Oh you ladies have come through, thank you so much for sharing your outfits! Thats exactly what I need to get my inspiration going.

I wore the blazer, completely unplanned, today. When I got up I really wanted to wear this pink tank blouse that I have with an embellished collar. So I had that on and new I needed another layer, but the jacket I planned to wear looked all wrong. So I grabbed my new blazer, and I got alot of compliments! I think the proportion of the jacket is perfect on me and it was very comfortable.

I am sorry I didn't get any pictures. The weather is horrible and cold, so I couldn't wait to get into my comfy clothes as soon as I got home

Carole - I just had to chime in that I LUV the idea of candles in your chiminea!! I have had a chiminea on my deck for what seems like ages now and have never built a fire in it because I always feared of little sparks getting on my decking or all the trees we have. I don't know why candles never occured to me!! Thank you!

Sorry everyone...that had nothing to do with the topic at hand. I don't really have anything to add to this thread because everytime I tried on a boyfriend blazer, I was just not happy with the way it looks on my straightish shape.
