Help me out with sunglasses (again!)

YLF helped me pick out a pair of prescription sunglasses last March, which I then lost by the end of the year.

I've found a new pair of green tortoiseshell frames and plan to order on Monday. They are much more curved and a bit larger than my prior pair, which will provided better sun protection. Do they get YLF approval? I like them *much* better than the old pair but please speak up if you disagree.

1) Old sunglasses (now lost)

2) Potential new sunglasses.

Sylvie I like them both. I particularly like your original pair but the new ones are (I think) quite fashion forward.

I think the new ones will look great. They kind of "hug" your face a little more. Pretty scarf in pic #1!

Thank you for agreeing with me (it's so nice when people do that). I went out and tried on a few more pairs today (attached). The two from today are more conventional and follow the line of my eyebrows but I still love the green/animal print and sharp angle of the new pair (#2) in the original post. Pair #2 in the original post also wraps around more.

Last set of photos, I promise. These five are all available from my insurance provider, so the cost goes down significantly. The #2 frame in the original post needs to be a 10 in comparison to this bunch.

If I place the order for #2/original I'll be able to get the glasses by Friday.
If I want any of the glasses below, I'm going to have to wait till I get back from India.
I'm also being biased by having the sunglasses available to me in India.

Thank you all. I've temporarily hidden the sunglasses that are officially ruled out.

I'm going to go into VSP in about half an hour and see if they can do the frames from #2 and #5 by the end of the week. If they can't, I'll probably go ahead with #2/original.

I've been staring at these so long I'm starting to feel like they all look dorky on me. I remember feeling very cool wearing #2/original in the store, but now I'm wondering if they look bad because they cut across the eyebrow.

(wishing I were more decisive and less wishy-washy)

Ah, thanks Angie! I needed that definitive opinion on the eyebrow interference.

Thanks to everyone else for their feedback and patience as well! Getting new frames is always so nervewracking for me since I wear them for years and years.

The optometrist ruled out #2 in the last batch for my prescription, so I'm going to order #5 in the last batch when I get back. I can just wear contacts/non-prescription sunglasses while traveling.
