Help me choose a color

I would like to try these shoes, although I can't keep them because they are too expensive. But I'm dying to see if they fit and are comfortable, and hopefully they'll go on sale. I'm just too impatient to wait until they go on sale to find out if they will work.

I can't decide what color to get. I would have liked a metallic but that is not an option. I like how they have an adjustable buckle in the front, and it makes me wonder why more cute sandals don't have this feature. That takes care of the wide forefoot/narrow heel issue. The reviews are also pretty good.

I wear lots of red, teal, and turquoise. I can say relatively certainly that I do not want brown. If I get the red or teal, will that be overkill? Should I play it safe and get white? Is the black just wrong and boring?

I don't really like them in brown or black (but it appears you don't either). The red ones are soooo cheerful, teal is great too. But I'd be tempted to try them in white as well, it just says Summer to me, and it could add an extra accent colour to many of your outfits.

Zappos has free return shipping right? Then I would go ahead and try them to see how they fit.

My vote is for the red or the white. I like the teal, but the yellow topstitching puts me off a bit. That's a pet peeve of mine, though- can't stand lighter stitching on darker leather! The red and white pairs both look really cheerful and summery, as Inge said, and I also think those colours look a bit more "expensive" than the others, for some reason.

I definitely didn't like them in brown. I didn't mind them in black (I live in NY!) but I think they would look too heavy with the rest of my outfits and I already have enough black shoes.

The red ones would normally probably be my top choice (I love red shoes), but I just hate the color of the buckles! PURPLE? Why purple?! I wonder if I could just spray paint them silver or something. I know that sounds awfully picky and I'm hoping it won't be as hideous in person but it really irks me. I normally like both purple and red, and like them even more together, but something about the hardware being purple just bugs me.

I also like white, but ever since Angie made that post about wearing shoes in the same color as your hair, I feel like white is a bad idea since it's the opposite of my hair. I know she said it's not a hard and fast rule but I can't get it out of my head. I'm also likely to wear a lot of white a lot in the summer, but I wear a lot of red and teal too! Hmm.

Actually now that I think of it, most of my teal things are in the form of cardigans, scarves, and sweaters, which I won't be wearing in the summer. Maybe I should get the teal after all. I'm so indecisive!

I'm sure whatever you end up choosing will be great- they are really nice shoes. I wouldn't worry about the white being opposite to your hair, though- it's just one look for shoe colours, not set in stone. Although, I totally know what you mean about it- my boyfriend continually thinks I'm crazy when we shop for shoes. "Why are you holding it up to your head? They go on your feet!"

I liked the red ones at first glance - I like red shoes. But if the purple buckles are too much, go for the teal or white. Both are great.

Maya, I like the red sandals but like you the purple buckles seem to mar the look. I vote for the teal. The yellow buckles add a nice pop of color without being jarring and have the sandals have a nice summery feel. I like the white sandals next.

I think I'm leaning towards teal. I really want a white dress and I think white shoes + white dress is a little much.

I may be in the minority but I LOVE LOVE LOVE contrast stitching!!! My favorite pair of black pumps, and my favorite pair of black sandals, both have white stitching, and that always says "Spring" to me.

I also adore the teal - on my screen the stitching looks lime green, which I'm so into these days, so that color scheme popped right out for me!!!

The other colors are just okay. They are missing the contrast stitching.

Only caveat: if you get shoes with contrast stitching, you may have to take them to a cobbler for cleaning/polishing. I have tried to polish my shoes myself, and goofed up and got polish on the stitching. Ouch. I'm sure there's some handy trick about how to avoid this, since when I take them to the cobbler, they come back perfect. But it's a head's up for you.

Maya, in your search for metallics, did you come across any good, comfy bronze sandals?

I'm voting for teal! I love the contrast stitching and buckles. The thing I don't like about the red is that the perforations are more visible and they look a little cheap. (IMO.)

Teal!! To polish them you can use a clear polish. Use it before you ever wear them to protect the stitching.

Umm, well I am a huge slob and have never taken a pair of shoes for cleaning or polishing in my life, so that is something that wouldn't have even entered my mind. I think teal is the clear winner.

Laura, for the most part I don't find anything comfortable, so I might not be the one to ask. I can't think of any bronze sandals off the top of my head. Brianna mentioned these somewhere else and said she wanted to go back to the store and buy them in bronze (she said they are the most comfortable sandals she has ever tried), but they don't seem to have bronze on Zappos, unless she meant the pearlized brown;

I think what I saw as bronze is what Zappos is calling brown pearlized. I remember it as being slightly warmer in person than the way it appears on the Zappos site.
