A good week for me. Back to the gym last week three times, one decent walk, and lots of tennis, swimming and walking at the beach.
Food has mostly been good with lots of yummy summer produce around - my zucchini plants are going nuts and I have discovered I like them grated raw with carrot, other salad vege and crumbled feta on top.
I did indulge with wine and tiramisu at a friend's place- but to me that is the point of being healthy 80% of the time, being able to indulge occasionally.
Late last year I got the food treats wrong and was indulging too often - not walking enough, and being stressed out made the weight cling on!! This was despite doing lots of gym work.
There is a NZ author in the health field called Dr Libby and she thinks being stressed makes it harder to lose weight. In my case I am sure that is correct - I know others who get a stomach in knots when stressed and who forget to eat. She also talks about the importance of breathing, alcohol free days and green vege. Nothing ground breaking but all good stuff!
