Has anyone tried on the Franco Sarto "June" boots?

I'm wondering how they fit in the calf (looking for a narrower-calf style, in case you hadn't noticed my FIXATION on this topic).

They are a pull-on style with elastic inserts on both sides, so I'm wondering if the 14.75 circumference listed by Zappos is the maximum calf they'll fit, rather than the actual, at-rest circumference?

I've tried on other Franco Sarto boots this season and have noticed that they fit snugly in the foot, but not so snug in the calf (my calf measures 12-1/2"). Don't hesitate to call Zappos to ask about the measurement. They pride themselves on being as helpful on the phone as they are swift to fulfill and ship.

Tanya has small calves and I think she has a pair of FS boots (I could be wrong about this). I agree you should call Zappos and ask. They might even be able to help you find something else. Sometimes talking to a real human being does wonders!

garmenta -- that is really helpful to know (although the reviews on Zappos appear to be complaining about the opposite for these particular boots: footbed running large, calf snug.)

And you and Maya are so right about calling them! Somehow, in this online age, I had kind of forgotten that that was even an option.

I think Shiny has a pair of FS boots (I always pay attention when someone with narrow calves refer to a brand that fits them). I've tried on different pairs before and I have found that FS seems narrower than other brands so it's definitely worth calling to find out!

I've tried these on. Quite comfy. April, how about a slouch boot? And are the boots you had altered at the calf last year still working out?

Angie, do you remember if the calf was really 14.75 inches, or if that's just the size it stretches to?

I do have a pair of black suede slouch boots, but they have a heel. Same with my altered boots -- still love them but they have a heel and I am really looking for a flatter boot.

Also, my slouch boots are from a couple of seasons ago, and they are pre-scrunched, if that makes sense -- they can't be pulled up straight. Is that an okay look, as opposed to boots that just slouch on their own?
